Serre Chevalier describes an area that is the valley from The Col du Lautaret to Briançon. It is one of europe's largest ski resorts. It is loved by skiers and snowboarders because it offers great tree lined runs and superb and relatively safe off piste snowboarding and skiing.
During the summer it is popular for mountain biking, rafting, walking and just chilling out.

Serre Chevalier is the name given to the mountain resort that stretches from Briancon in the west to the Col du Lautaret in the east. It includes the town of Briancon and the villages of St Chaffrey, Chantemerle, Villeneuve, La Salle les Alpes and Monetier les Bains.
