Celebrities are often being spoofed, but now they are producing parodies of their own.

This week, Seth Green's stop motion animation company released Robot Chicken Star Wars, a hilarious spoof of the 1970's hit trilogy Star Wars to rave reviews.

The star of Austin Powers and Scream has been producing the sketch comedy series Robot Chicken with Matthew Senreich since 2005 for Cartoon Network.

The show parodies pop culture using stop motion animation of action figure dolls and claymation.

In the latest episode released in the US on June 17, George Lucas is chased through a Star Wars convention by mad fans and the Emperor receives a long distance phone call from Darth Vader telling him the Death Star has been obliterated by something he calls the "Aluminum Falcon."

Have a look at Robot Chicken Star Wars above and to the right.

Robot Chicken managed to pull in some big names for the parody including George Lucas, Mark Hamill and Hulk Hogan.
