Let's celebrate dear Dr. Seuss,
Whose lit'rature gave no excuse
To whine, complain, or cry boo-hoo
Because it gave no smile to you.
His rhymes were rhymey, his words were wordy,
Sometimes they were a bit absurdy.
But write he did, and what he did writ,
Helped kids to read, and read quite a bit.
With Hop on Pop, and If I Ran the Zoo,
And Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?
His stories were silly and funny and such,
But the stories they held so much more, oh so much.
If you don't believe me, then take a good look.
At the Seuss, and his wisdom in writing a book.
