I don't know if they've made "Sins: The Musical" yet, but it's got to be on someone's planbook. Maybe even mine.
From movies, to books, to philosophy, the seven deadly sins have been making appearances for over a thousand years - passion plays, Brad Pitt movies, even Star Wars have all chimed.
Sinners and saints make the world a dynamic place to live. You can't know good if there is no bad after all.
As Captain Malcom Reynolds of Serenity said "Heck, I'm a fan of all seven."

Many people have one sin they enjoy or identify with. Others like them all.
The Seven Deadly Sins General Definition
- Pride - AKA Vanity - Love of yourself at the expense of everything else.
- Envy - AKA Jealousy - Wanting what someone else has whether it's money, looks, or fame.
- Gluttony - Excessive consumption of food, drink, or other resources.
- Lust - Excessive craving of sex or other "carnal" pleasures.
- Wrath - AKA Anger - Giving in to the need for anger and vengence rather than embracing forgiveness and compassion.
- Greed - AKA Covetousness - Wanting money and things while ignoring spiritual growth.
- Sloth - AKA Laziness - Avoiding work, mental, physical, or spiritual.

Seven (New Line Platinum Series)
Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman investigate a series of murders based on the seven sins. It's a disturbing, freaky movie. I liked it, but there's more than one scene that will linger in your nightmares.

Serenity (Widescreen Edition)
While Serenity is mostly about choices and heroism, there is a strong message about sin. Sin is about the freedom to choose. But, beyond all that? This is just a kick-ass Space Western based off of the late lamented "Firefly" series.

Sin City - Unrated (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)
This movie was incredible. It stayed true to the brilliant Frank Miller graphic novels. I was prepared to hate this movie in spite of the cast-list, but I loved it. It's a definite must-own.

Pride
Killer Idea -Shauna came home to find a bottle of champagne on her dresser with a note "to celebrate her success." She laughed lightly and poured herself a glass. She didn't question the gift. After all, she was worth the expense. She raised a toast to her reflection and drank deeply. The strychnine convulsions exhausted her and she was dead within twenty minutes.
Killer Motive-
Lord Gracen's face went white as he watched the woman he knew would marry him, laugh at his proposal. "Would I ever marry a poor man like you?" she asked, her beautiful porcelain face creased with laughter. "Titles mean nothing. This is a new age." The nobleman stepped forward. He wrapped his hand around her throat to cut off her resuming laughter. He didn't release her until he felt her pulse stop. There were some insults that a man of good breeding simply could not overlook.
Seven Death: A model is disfigured and given the choice between suicide and calling for help.

Devil's Advocate
All is vanity. If you haven't seen it, you really should. It builds up its horror rather than smacking you over the head with it in the first five minutes. To be honest, it's a much better movie than I thought it would be.

Wrath
Killer Idea -George watched as Sal once more smacked his daughter. He felt his face grow hot and his focus narrowed to the man's face. Enraged, he lunged across the room. Sal brought up the iron poker from the fireplace set. George's momentum impaled him on the metal spike. Sal dropped the spike and let George's body slump to the floor. He smiled at his fiancee. "Well, that son-of-a-bitch is out of the way now."
Killer Motive - Suzanne watched her lover kiss his girlfriend again. Her hand fisted tightly around the pearl-handled revolver. She raised it, surprised that her hand wasn't shaking. She fired, once, twice, three times, and the couple fell to the ground, shock on their faces and blood on their clothes. That finished, she took a calming breath, then raised the gun to her temple. It clicked onto the empty chamber. She laughed.
