7th Heaven
Since the show began in 1996, 7th Heaven has been one of my favorite television programs of all time. Through the seasons, we have watched Matt, Mary, Lucy, Simon, Ruthie, Sam, and David grow up under the careful guidance of their parents, Eric and Annie Camden.
After 11 seasons, the show has been retired and it has made me terribly sad to see it go. I will miss the quirky and heat-warming antics of the Camden clan. Luckily, the reruns for this wonderful series are aired on the ABC Family channel, but we will never again see new episodes starring the Camden family.
This lens is my tribute to the 7th Heaven series that I so dearly love. You'll find videos, quotes, cast members, links on more on 7th Heaven.

About 7th Heaven
7th Heaven is an American drama television series about a Protestant minister's family living in the fictional town of Glenoak, California originally broadcast from 1996-2007. It was created and produced by Brenda Hampton. The series premiered on Monday, August 26, 1996, on the WB Television Network, the first time that the WB aired Monday night programming. The series finale was scheduled for May 8, 2006; however, the show was renewed by the CW Television Network when the intended final episode received high ratings. The 11th and purported final season premiered on Monday, September 25, 2006 and ended on May 13, 2007. Wikipedia Article
The 7th Heaven Family
The Camdens
The family originally consisted of five children (Matt, Mary, Lucy, Simon, and Ruthie), but in the third season, Annie gave birth to twins, Sam and David. Three of the children (Matt, Simon, and Mary) moved away from home. Simon went to college, and Matt married and pursued his career as a doctor. Nevertheless, the house is always full; Lucy, her husband Kevin, and their daughter Savannah all live near the Camdens. Frequent house guests also find the Camden house a home of their own.
Due to dissatisfaction with the show and her image, Jessica Biel was slowly written out of the show starting in 2000 and, after an appearance on September 22, 2003 she did not appear again until the Season 10 finale on May 8, 2006. On the other hand, Matt and Simon have regularly found themselves involved with the family since they moved out and Simon (David Gallagher) returned for most of the ninth season and the entire tenth season. Mackenzie Rosman (Ruthie) remained with the show for its entire run, with the exception of the first six episodes of the eleventh season. Wikipedia Article

7th Heaven Debate
Since I have started this tribute to 7th Heaven, I have received comments that the series was not a good example of a moral christian show and that it may not have been good for our children to watch and learn from. It's been stated by visitors hear that 7th Heaven characters were always making bad decisions and that the show did not show proper consequences for their actions. In other words, it did not portray right and wrong correctly?
I myself never noticed this in such a black and white scheme. I love the show because it gave a bad situation or decision and showed how to do the right s to correct the situation through God, prayer, family values, and friendship. I did notice that the characters were wacky and not very realistic at times, but I think it was a good christian show despite that. What do you think?
Was 7th Heaven a good christian series?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYes! It had great morals and everyone leared their lessons.
MusicalKay28 says:
I thought it had a good story line with real life lessons in each episode with problems that actually do happen instead of making something up that would not

7th Heaven Quotes
Simon: You know, "dog" is "God" spelled backwards.
(Simon and Ruthie find a $50.00 bill on the sidewalk)
Ruthie: Maybe we should give it back.
Simon: To who? The sidewalk?
Ruthie: How about a little tiny goldfish? They won't be no trouble.
Annie: Any.
Ruthie: Any what?
Annie: A goldfish won't be any trouble.
Ruthie: I know. So can I have one?
The Colonel: Hello.
Jimmy: Hey.
Grandma Ruth: Hey is for horses. Are you a farmer, Jimmy?
Jimmy: No.
The Colonel: Do you know who I am?
Jimmy: Lucy's grandfather?
The Colonel: I am Colonel John Camden, United States Marines!
Mary: How about this dress?
Lucy: Sure. Whatever. You'll look great.
Mary: Or maybe I could just shave my head?
Lucy: Sure. Whatever. You'll look great
Annie: (on the phone with hotel receptionist) Ginger...somebody. What do you mean you don't know? How can you not know? How many "Ginger"s do you have there? Is there a "Ginger" convention in town or something?Source

Matt: Great. Even with Mary in the hospital, Dad still finds a way to teach me a lesson.
Simon: Well, you've kind of got to admire him for that.
Eric: Your hair looks nice, Luce.
Lucy: Nice or sexy?
Eric: Uh....nice. Definitely nice. If my 13-year-old daughter had sexy hair, I'd shave her head.
Annie: (to Eric during labor) Stop touching me! That's what got us in this situation in the first place.
Annie: Who would leave a baby on our doorstep?
Ruthie: God.
Annie: That's sweet, but I think God had a little help on this one
Robbie: What's that pizza lady's baby doing here?
Annie: You've seen this baby?
Robbie: Yeah, at Pete's Pizza.
Annie: Frankie and Johnny.
Robbie: Yeah, that's her name. Frankie. She works at Pete's and brings the baby in with her sometimes.
Annie: Are you sure this is her?
Robbie: No offense, I know all babies are beautiful, but I'd recognize that head anywhere.Source

- I love the show and had been watching reruns during the day, now I can't even find them. I wasn't a fan when it aired, I don't remember ever hearing about it, but I fell in love with it the first time I watched a rerun. Lucy and Annie were my favorite characters on the show. This is a great lens, I love it!

- This is not a show I ever got into, but I have to give it up to any show that can be successful today, and retain its wholesome family image, let alone add Christianity into it.

- I agree with Dog Whisper Woman. You really out did yourself in the quality of this lens. 5* without a second thought. I did not like the show either though. Those children were mouthing off their parents.. and always making bad choices. Real life has real consequences. This also showed no standards of right and wrong. 7th heaven was no good
