My mom made both of my children quilts when they were tiny. My daughter's quilt was hand embroidered with Raggedy Ann and Andy pictures taken from a coloring book. My son's quilt was hand embroidered with cute baby animals. Today, my grandchildren proudly use these quilts. Quilts can become family heirlooms. I plan to make each of my grandchildren a quilt, each with a theme that is based on their individual personalities.

    Great hub!

Does anyone remember making a shirt, in 4H, out of 4 bandanas? I believe there was no, or very minimal cutting involved and the front and back bandana's were set on the diagonal with a point at the bottom. Help??

    NorCalPaige:

By all means, a serger is a wonderful addition to your sewing equipment. It is to a sewing machine what a microwave is to an oven. Be sure to get your serger from a reputable dealer who will teach you how to use it and maintain it.
    To Your Sewing Success,
    Marian
