Sex and the City Movie
Us Weekly reports the Sex and the City stars have commited to a second SATC movie sequel which is close to being greenlighted. There's talk of a movie being shot this summer to be released next year in 2010.
I just got the Sex and the City movie out from the library and watched the behind the scenes commentary by Michael Patrick King. Very intereresting as he talks about the strong collaboration with stylist Patricia Fields and how the clothes are not just mere frivolous extraneous props but how they play an integral part in conveying a character's emotions to help tell the story.
I had seen the movie once on Netflix several months ago, watched the commentary then passed it on to my mother-in-law to enjoy. You would think by the time I'd seen the movie a third time, I would know what's coming. But no, tears everytime with Big and Carrie, Miranda and Carrie and thrills seeing the apartment and built-in closet each time, Mr. Big's winning smile.

What Do You Want to See in SATC2?
No word yet on the return of Mr. Big or Jennifer Hudson. Screenwriter and co-producer Michael Patrick King has said that he's like to make this movie lighter in tone and not have the huge emotional lows like the one Carrie had to face at the alter. However, conflicting reports say the Sex and the City movie sequel will be shorter while others say longer. Perhaps no one knows for sure as Michael Patrick King is probably still at his keyboard figuring out plot points. If we could send him an e-mail, what would you suggest?

However, the movie was just a longer TV episode. I like it, but as that. If they do another one it should be a made for TV,movie. This didn't translate to the big screen, it was just another show, fun, but no more.
