Sex On-Line

This used to be the way teenagers found these sites.
Just last year, when I was teaching computers at a school in Queensland, where the central organisation was always deleting new sex sites that the students kept finding, I made some reprimanding comment to a particular student, who I knew spent his time searching sex sites with a diligence that would have made him an A-grade student in any other subject, and his reply,
"Easy Miss...you just type in 'Sex'"
I had not contemplated looking for 'sex' online and to me it was a odd thing to do. I am a sweet middle class, well brought up, older generation, female teacher.
Just for curiosity when I got home, I thought I would see what kept the students coming to these sites all the time, and typed in the word. To my amazement, I went on a whole journey of sites I could not believe existed. I looked and looked and was stunned at what teenagers could get to, and what stunned me most was the number of 'Young Teen sites'.
I was much troubled, as this is what my students were doing when they had free access to the net, which they did at home, as most students are home unsupervised with computers and locked in their own bedrooms, as their parents know nothing about computers, and do not really want to learn, as I was to find out when I went trying to get some computer responsibility from adults.

The other result of my evening of morbidly fascinating and one hell of an eye opener....was a computer full of virus and spyware, and i was to spend the next few weeks paying for my sexual adventure by trying to clear my computer of all the attachments I so innocently collected in my exploration.Now...if you do a search, make sure you:
Do not open any pop-ups.
Do not add your credit card to anything, especially to free sites that need your ID for you to access. A friend did that and came to me asking what to do about the charges he incurred on his credit card.
Do not use your correct email address for anything..create a new email address if you choose to do wandering. You will be flooded with letters offering you everything from a penis transplant to a Dying woman's yearning to make you her heir to all the money her beloved deceased husband left her.
Keep away from all chatlines that offer free web cams. They are not what they seem and whilst you are waiting for something to happen, lots of other things are happening in the background to you.
Finally, do not be stupid enough to sign anything or join anything.
