Naughty Halloween Outfits

The Baby Boom generation remembers Halloween strictly as child's play. Costumes were created from old sheets, and mom's discarded makeup, among other things. There were no costume shops, nor were there baskets to capture those sweet treats gathered from the neighbors' front doors.

I'm a baby boomer, and I can tell you that those were the days! I remember my Aunt and Uncle were childless. This couple really decorated their living room and dining room for Halloween every year just for the neighborhood kids and relatives. Our parents drove us to their house for an hour to enjoy the special punch, cupcakes, and other treats. This was the sweetest couple and they also traveled with us during the summer vacations.

We felt safe back then. Halloween was a fun time. But so much for nostalgia... Today Halloween is just as fabulous for the grown ups!  Baby Boomers just refuse to grow up. Let's face it, it's an excuse to party again and party on a grand scale! Since most middle-aged folks have grown children, there is no need to get a babysitter. And there is no need to get home before daylight, even. October 31 is time to let loose. It's time to have fun, and by golly it will be done!

Now... we just need to decide on the costume and get all our goods in plenty of time before everything is sold out. There are a lot of Baby Boomers out there. And a lot of us are thinking on the same lines. I have been searching online for mine. And I'm kind of partial to the "Wonder Woman" costume, as long as the belly is shown above the navel, but I just might get something else this time around. I'm a woman and I want to be sexy, but I don't want to look like I'm trying to reach too far back in my 20s. Now that would be a ghastly sight! I know it's Halloween, but I don't want to look like Frankenstein's Bride. That's not my style.

Sexy Uniforms are always popular, like Cops, Nurses, Sailors, Military, Army, Referees, and don't forget Firefighters. Some men love to appear as Pirates, Devils, Vampires, or Gangsters and some women too. But I'm leaning more toward An Angel, French Maid, or Cheerleader. Those sound sexy and I think I'll get some good compliments.
