Welcome to Shadowchaser's Showcase!
Hello and welcome...
Photography is both a personal passion and hobby which I pursue in many ways.
My skill level is surely that of an Amateur and my pursuit of fine photographic images is something else again.
To view some examples of that consider visiting my image and gift related Gallery I refer to as Shadowchasers Realm. The name I choose as an extension of my CB handle and I believe it reflects certain aspects I find to be interesting along photographic lines.
For those interested I have discussed my beginning interest and early efforts in photography somewhat more thoroughly in my personal Squidoo profile and so will step on beyond those details here.
My focus with this Lens is to share some of the better areas I have discovered on the web that relate to Photography that offer something unique, generally absolutely free and more than casually interesting to do.
I have made some use of the web since 1998 and have, like many watched it evolve into something far greater than when I began. Far more gaming sites and general help sites. A lot more health websites and automotive to clothing and jewelry of most any kind.
If it's out there you can find it with but a few choice search terms. Fantastic is what I often think as it just gets better and better.
I have tinkered with the idea of building a personal website over the last several years as another hobby of sorts to go along with my ever growing hobby of photography Amateur style.
The eventual merger of the 2 into something of potential interest has been a slow one, but one well worth the wait as the years past and the web became a much more friendly environment for those looking for a low cost to free means of setting up shop via one of the most powerful modern means available, the World Wide Web.
There is little more I could say here concerning this that you won't already know or couldn't other wise discover, so I shall move on to something that may be of interest to those wanting to go beyond simply sharing images on the web via the various free or paid photo sharing websites and trying something that while being a bit challenging at first will also inspire with added abilities that go beyond basic fun with images and take one further along with seemingly endless imaginative possibilities.

Shadowchasers Realm My Zazzle Gallery
The best website I know of for sharing and selling your photographic creations is Zazzle.com
In early 2008 I began an intense websearch, (ha.ha..whats that?), in search of a low cost cool way to accomplish several things at the same time.
One, I wanted to share some of the images I was swiftly forming into collections and offer them in such as way that if someone truly liked a given image they might have the option of having a decent printed copy. For us the Designer there is no cost, but of course to buy an item does cost. No gimmick just business. As the designer however you can control those cost to the buyer and set your end of it as low as 10%, just to be friendly or perhaps to get your Gallery rolling along.
Secondly I felt that having someone buy an image was the equivalent of a kind of inspirational Vote such as Squidoo offers in its voting Text modules and such votes would inspire to try for higher level photography and ever more interesting venturing around for the best images ever. Call it what you will but if you were to post a simple yard Flower on a Zazzle Sticker and have someone buy up $50.00 dollars worth in one swoop you might be suddenly think about photographing most of the other flowers in your area as well. A friend I told about Zazzle had such a sale and while this isn't necessarily the usual such sales and similar can add some dimension to your appreciation of your camera and your photographic intuitiveness.
Lastly, I have a few close friends who have had an interest in photography longer than I in the Spirit of competitiveness and being self challenging individuals such Galleries as Zazzle offers provide an online forum where one can further develop their skills and from that find more contentment in quite a few areas of daily living,
Since so many of the items you can make there have to do with that.
Items ranging from Mouse pads, decorated with your own animal or scenic image
to a Greeting card showing the same or perhaps a T shirt, Magnet, Sticker or as I so often make, Prints and Posters.
Then of course there is Stationary and Skateboards too!
So go ahead and venture over to my Gallery, Shadowchasers Realm at Zazzle or any of the thousands of other Galleries at Zazzle and discover your place in the land of creativity.
