Vision1 was assembled in 1998 when 2 life long friends set out to change the direction of hip hop music but more importantly change lives. Travis Harmon aka 'reSEARCH' and Jarod Howard aka 'Details' always had a love for hip hop but in the late 90s they found themselves bored with the lack of creativity that was taking over the game. Thus, they decided to take matters into their own hands. Armed with a sound somewhere between the underground and ground level, they planned to let their music be their ministry. They have made a name for themselves by rocking hundreds of shows over the past 8 years. They dropped various projects such as the "Gas Money EP" and the "Multiple Personalities Ep" and pushed them locally. They are simultaneously finishing up their first full length album along with the ShadowFacts debut album as well.

Matthew Lang aka 'Obstacle' was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. From an early age he was a huge fan of hip hop music. By age 12 he had already picked up the mic and got a jumpstart on perfecting his skills. He made his mark as a battle emcee in the L.A. area and next set his sights on developing his song writing. He joined up with local artists to form the group "Adlib". They performed at various shows and dropped a couple of projects locally. He then moved on to his solo career and was featured on many underground albums and compilations before joining up with ShadowFacts.

Mike Tunez aka 'DJ Frantic' bought his first set of turntables in the summer of 2001. He then practically locked himself in his bedroom and concentrated all of his energy on perfecting his stylings on the 1s and 2s. By the time he had gotten to a point where he was ready to show his skills to the world, ShadowFacts was formed. Perfect timing for this very talented, quick handed dj to showcase his abilities. All of these individuals came together to form a supercrew entitled "ShadowFacts" in September of 2004. Obstacle and DJ Frantic had already developed a relationship prior as Frantic had done some production for Obstacle's solo efforts. Details contacted Obstacle via the internet after hearing some of his music to see if he would be interested in joining forces to create this crew. He jumped in and brought DJ Frantic into the mix soon after. They all came together in Miami in late 2004 to record some of their debut album. Then, in 2005, they collaborated in Tennessee to finish up the writing and recording for the album. They have been featured on a long list of projects individually and projects such as "The Genesis Project" compilation and the "Fun with Motion" mixtape as a crew. They have shared the stage with talented artists such as Mars Ill, Listener, Kaboose, and many others.
