Why after all these years would I choose Shaklee?
My History With MLM
Posted Jan.16th, 2007 - Here is an overview of my exposure to network marketing. I am going to use point form to conserve space:1. My father was gold direct in Amway in 1984 just before the Ontario bankruptcy debacle -so I was raised around it.
2. Between the ages of 18 and 20 I attended at least a dozen different network marketing presentations for all manner of product and service. -So a more mature industry understanding began to form.
3.At age 20 in my first year of marriage, I joined Meleleuca and quickly sponsored 6 or 7 people, won a watch and saw my name in a magazine dedicated to recognition. However I was constantly held back by my own choice to give in to fear and rejection, so I washed out. -I learned that without persistently developing a warm market from cold it is difficult to succeed in MLM.
4. Skip ahead 5 years, I joined a startup forced matrix investment deal out of the Philippines whose name I cannot remember- that in hindsight was probably sketchy. Again I did next to nothing so I got nothing....imagine that!
5. Around this time my younger brother was just getting under way in Excel Telecom. I joined three times in two years and on the last attempt introduced a friend to the business who helped me put aside my fear of cold calling. We put our heads down and went for it. We had the fastest growing team in western Canada when Excel went up in smoke. -I learned a lot about market viability, corporate stability, product margins and true vs false residual.
6. From Excel to Shaklee but did zip.
7. Not 1 but 2 video email MLM's
8. Then Liberty League International - who I must thank for helping me to re-wire my brain, set goals and adopt the maxim be,do,have.
9. Two close friends began working on a new way to systematize online recruiting into network marketing. I joined their brain trust and we began to tweak and emulate the efforts of a couple fellows who had gone from $0 - $80,000 in monthly residuals in 8 months- please note you did not misread that. Thus the birth of Profit Wildfire - Visit http://www.solomonsmine.ws for an audio introduction.
10. To maximize the efforts of Profit Wildfire a company had to meet seven criteria(later don't rush me) and in my case it was Shaklee. Long story long, we created two grand in residuals in the first 4 weeks spending almost no money. And the rest is as they say is history.
