Shaman Gold Farming

Now, I know all about us. We shoot lightning out of our hands, and we heal stuff when people tell us to. Sometimes we thump people on the head twice in a second. That's what we're made for, and every one of us is able to do it whether we like it or not.

Some things, however, are harder to do. Like making lots of gold in a very short time. Trust me, I've been there. I raided Scarlet Monastery until I almost had a nervous breakdown. I sold every last thing I could spare to get me to my epic kodo mount. I even tried to hire myself out as a mercenary for the lower levels just so I could earn some extra bit of money.

So I'm telling you, I've been there, brother.

Over time, I started figuring out what works and what doesn't.

#1: Do lots of quests. This really applies more to the level 80s out there, because at that point, each quest can give you close to 10g each. So just keep doing them, especially daily quests. Dailies are the best way to earn money each day... if you're up for the time consuming effort it takes. I earned my way to an epic mount via dailies, and if you really keep at it, you'll find your way to 5000g sooner or later.

#2: Make or gather stuff, then sell them. Everybody wants something at some point, and some things are just more in demand than others. Herbs and cloths are a good example, because everyone goes crazy for them. If you decide to go the trader route, get your farmer's hat on and gather those herbs stack by stack. People pay good money for those, and you'll earn quite a bit if you keep selling them what they want.

#3: Play the auction house. Very hard to master if you're not that good at it, but pays incredibly well if you finally get it down pat. In the beginning, I would put good stuff up for auction - really good stuff, but it just wouldn't sell for some reason. Through lots of trial and error though, I eventually got the hang of it, and it sold briskly from then onwards.

#4: Do instances. Shamans are really popular these days - don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Bloodlust, heals, DPS... what's not to like? Everyone yells for tanks or heals, but remember, you're needed. Show them how good you are, and maybe you'll find yourself invited to those instance runs. And those can give you good money too... even better if everyone's just eyeing for a specific piece of loot and sharding everything else. Everyone's crazy for top-tier shards and will pay good prices for them.

"But dude," you say, "I've done all those to death and I can't earn gold fast enough!"

So, you're one of those crazy gold farming people, huh?

Not to worry, I've had that same desire once! How cool would it be to earn loads of cash fast, and not having to work 24/7 at the game in order to get there? This isn't about making cash *easy*, it's about making lots of cash without killing yourself from exhaustion!

Well, I'll let you in on a secret: I had help.

Nah, I didn't outsource my gold farming to strangers! For one, I don't really trust them, and two, I like to do all the work myself. Feels like I 'earned' it. Instead, I got help from a guide to Shaman Gold Farming! Actually, it's not just for shamans, but hey, we can use it just fine.

And let me tell you, it's helped me a *whole* lot. My earnings have shot up ever since I got it, and now I'm financially comfortable in WoW.
