Shamanic Energy Healing

All shamanic healing is energy healing or energy medicine, also called vibrational healing or light-working, and by other terms. In shamanizing, spiritual energy shifts invisibly through thought and emotion as dreams and desires, with intention and attention, then moves visibly and naturally into universal energy flows and physical patterns.

Here are the several shamanic interventions - or ways of shifting invisible and visible energy on purpose - that are most frequently taught in shamanic workshops, classes, apprenticeships, and schools as part of the modern worldwide shamanism revival:

-- Divination - seeing and understanding life patterns at all levels

-- Healing - retrieval of vital power or soul fragments and/or extraction of power or soul energy patterns that don't belong or by depossession (exorcism) or curse unraveling or friendship with spirits of nature

-- Geomancy and weather shamanism - healing of place, elemental rebalancing among beings and places, opening up and keeping sacred space-time

-- Shapeshifting - becoming something else to change one's situation for the better

-- Dreaming - ongoing revelation of new ways to live

-- Psychopompic assistance - helping the dead travel on to the next life

-- Performance - acting out desired changes for the better through psychodrama, expressive arts, storytelling, costuming, and more

-- Ceremony officiating - blessing, consecrating, dedicating, and initiating

A shaman accomplishes one or more of these spiritual healing and life transforming interventions through shamanic journeying or another method of shamanic meditation. Shamanic meditation includes many ways active meditation as prayer, expressed through dance, song, drama, art, ceremony, and many more ways. Experiencing wilderness is another way the shaman connects with Spirit and Spirits to fill with healing power, receive helpful knowledge, and do energy healing.

Shamans keep learning and combining more healing ways. Modern shamans often blend other complementary and alternative medicines such as hypnosis, NLP, herbalism, and aromatherapy into shamanic energy healing interventions. This is because shamanism is the most flexible, eclectic, and open-ended way (of many ways) of spiritual healing and life transforming on earth.
