Sharenow.com: A MySpace Alternative Specializing in Unlimited File-Sharing

Lethal Dos: the Graphic Design Tag-Team were recently contracted by Sharenow.com to create profiles for their hot new social networking service. Being tech geeks in addition to graphic design/luchadors, we welcomed the opportunity to work with a new social networking platform.

Some of the features that stood out to us, and that you won't find on myspace:

Unlimted File-Sharing and Media Hosting
Media folders with Desktop-style browser
Easy to customize page template system
Multiple User Profiles per account

We really appreciated the customization options, which generally makes it much easier to change the look of your profile than MySpace. There's no code to copy and paste from one site to another. Sharenow will host your images for you removing the need for an outside image host such as Photobucket.

Lahitmen.com - Our First Sharenow Project 

Pump Paintball Team L.A. Hitmen

Our first assignment: to create a strong visual presence for the Los Angeles Hitmen paintball team, the first officially Sharenow-sponsored sports team. The page had to be exciting and capture the fast and dirty nature of paintball. Using Sharenow's template editor I was able to upload and position my backgrounds very easily, without having to edit any CSS code. Placing a background in MySpace on the other hand requires you to edit a small chunk of CSS (and have an external URL to host the image file).

There's a few things in the default Sharenow interface that could use some polishing, such as the icon navigation system, but it is Beta after all. Having met with the development team I can tell you that they are working on some very cool new improvements and features for the site.

PBLive.tv - Streaming Paintball News on Sharenow.com

Our second project was to create the new home for PBLive.tv, sponsored and hosted by Sharenow. Development on this site consisted of awesome graphics and widget development, all of which was easy to place on the site using Sharenow's seemless media hosting and customization options.
