Why I love the shark floor steam mop. The Shark floor steam mop has made my life so much easier! For the last forty something years, I have been mopping floors the old fashioned way, on my hands and knees mostly. When I graduated to using disposable pads for mopping with a spray bottle, even though my vision is not as good as it once was, I could still see the bits and parts that needed to be "hand" cleaned. Uggh.

Shark floor steam mop. Okay, so I bought it and told them that it was from them as they tend not to remember to buy me stuff for Christmas. It is the best Christmas gift I have ever received. For years I would scrub floors by hand on my hands and knees. In fact for a time, while I was going to college, I cleaned houses to supplement the family income. This is just such an amazing cleaning tool. Once you have your own you will totally understand. - We have a Bissell which we love. So much better than scrubbing on your hands and knees or using a mop and bucket.

- I have a shark floor steam mop and I love it. In fact my kitchen looks almost identical to the photo. I have the exact tile, I think. Anyway, it works great on this and my vinyl floors. The only drawback I have is that I have to vacuum the floors very, very well because I have lots of cats and the clumping litter (which are clay balls) stick to the steam mop and spread streaks on the floor. It's doable but I just have to take extra time to make sure to get those little clay balls up. Bear hugs, Frankster

- I used to have a similar product, except it was battery operated and squirted detergent rather than steam out the front. It was good, but not thrilling enough for me to dance around the kitchen like that lady in the ad! :)

- I had one too Neil and it sucked big time, so I was leery to get the steam mop. My daughter told me about it almost a year before I decided to splurge. Man I am so glad I did. World of difference between the two.

- Thanks for the review! I have wanted to one of these as my house is almost completely tile and laminate flooring, and I have a 1 and 3 year old. Needless to say, I have a mess to clean off the floor after every meal! I was wondering if it was as great as it seems on the commercial, and it sounds like it is!
