The Shark Steam Cleaner Is Great For Heavy Duty Cleaning
I had a large amount of heavy duty cleaning to do this weekend and I was afraid of having to break my back with scrubbing and scraping. I thought that having a Shark steam cleaner would make my life a lot easier and I was right.
Is the Shark steam cleaner perfect like they say on the informercials? No, but it did save me a lot of time this weekend.

Pros Of The Shark Steam Cleaner
- Cleans very easily without using harsh chemicals.
- Gets out tough caked on stains. If you have every tried to clean a patio door track you know how long that can take. All I had to do was use the standard hose attachment for 5 minutes on the track, then wipe it up. 2 hours of work became 10 minutes.
- The large cleaning pad was big enough to do my floors with a little rinsing in between. We do not have a lot of floor space though, so you may want to consider the Shark steam cleaner mop.

Cons Of The Shark Steam Cleaner
- The window cleaner attachment is not really "streak free". I'm not sure if this is because I screwed up and used cleaning solution on the surface first or if this is just a flaw in the product. I will wash the pad and then give my windows a shot again. This could change from a con to a pro if it turns out this is my fault.
- The dusting attachment doesn't work real well. I tried the dusting attachment on several surfaces and it was real difficult to get the dust off of shelves and out of the nooks and crannies. I ended up using just the hose itself and spraying the dust, then wiping. I have to admit that I've had better results with a Swiffer duster and I will probably use that in the future.
- It's easy to forget that you are working with scalding steam. I found myself becoming careless as the weekend went on and I paid for my carelessness by burning myself pretty bad. You need to make sure you are very careful when using the Shark steam cleaner.
- The cord is long and gets in the way sometimes. Not a major deal, but sometimes a pain.
