Tips Plus Photo's To Help You Find A Hairstyle That Will Flatter Your Face...

By Sharon Stajda

Without a doubt, hair is the most important changeable feature we have.

Today's woman is very fortunate. We live in a time when no one hairstyle is considered the fashion of the day. Hairdos today run the gamut of possibility. They do's that fill our magazine pages, and the rules that once ran our thinking about hair have become increasingly passe. We no longer consider it an unshakable truth that a face to be beautiful must be oval, and that all hairstyles should try to create that effect.

It is no longer an indisputable error for a girl with a long face to wear long hair. Furthermore, a girl with strong features may choose a hairstyle to bring out the character of her face, not to hide it.

Movies are filled with beautiful women who accentuate their originality, rather than minimize it. Furthermore, the top, most highly paid models are hired to sell fabulously priced clothes because of their offbeat looks. Which they stress in the way they wear their hair.

This world, had grown so much smaller in these last years, has made us very conscious of our once foreign neighbors. Our new sophistication has broadened our ideas of beauty as well. We no longer laugh at differences or think them peculiar. We can see loveliness in a Chinese girl, in an Indian girl, in an African girl, and appreciate their brand of beauty, along with our own. Our hairstyles have become supra-national to. We've borrowed them from every corner of the world.

Moreover, yes- at the same time much of the world has to some degree Americanized their own ways of wearing their hair. However, while we in the U.S.A. continue to want our hairdos to be modern in the sense that they should fit in with the quick busy lives. At the same time, we also want them to be feminine, classic and romantic.

Without a doubt, hair is the most important changeable feature we have. Every Hollywood make-up department considers finding the right hairstyle for a star or an actress their number one task. Hair can do an enormous amount for you-not only for your face, but for all of you. The way you wear your hair can make you look taller, or shorter. A hairstyle can de-emphasize a too bosomy bosom, can call attention to a swan-like neck or distract the eye from a too-short neck, can add length to the waist, can balance narrow shoulders. And so on...So let's explore how one goes about getting the perfect head of hair.

Bob It Like Beckham!

Victoria Beckham new spring "do" is a chic updated bob... She recently opted to cut off her long hair, and is now looking cuter than cute in a sleek oh-so swingy Bob. Her new hairstyle has been dubbed a Pob. These cute title stands for Posh's Bob - "Pob." Vic Beckham's Pob is guaranteed to become the hottest new hairstyle this spring. Therefore, if you are looking for an easy, stylish, cute, popular, trendy new hairstyle -- opt for two "Bob it like Beckham." Or should I say Pob it like Beckham?

Isn't Helen Mirren"s Hair Fit For A Queen ?

Queen Of Hearts... Note "Mirrens" Beautiful Heart Shaped Face

With a heart shape face "Mirren" can wear many hairstyles... She looks beautiful in this modified bob cut. It is soft and feminine. The bob is a hairstyle that can be tweaked, to suit many facial shapes, and looks great on women of all ages.

Women that have heart shaped faces are very lucky in this respect. The most complimentary hairdo for a heart shaped face is to have the hair full at the jaw line, with a center or slightly off-center part, with slanted bangs. As you can see Helen knows her facial shape well, and plays it up...

It was the first Oscar for Helen Mirren, 61, who has already won more than 20 major awards for her portrayal of the Queen of England, in the days after the sudden death in 1997 of Princess Diana.

Saluting the courage and consistency of the Queen, Helen held her golden Oscar statuette high above her head, and stated "I thank her because if it wasn't for her I most certainly would not be here. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Queen!"

This silver-haired actress, a 40-year veteran of stage, screen and television, won universal praise for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth, whose traditionally is well known for her stiff upper lip, and dowdy hairstyle... As you can see Helen's hairstyle (as always) is wonderfully simple, with good classic lines, and compliments her face to a tee... It certainly goes to shows that at any age a woman can set the trend with her hairstyle. Congratulation to Helen Mirren!

Secret Hairstyle Tips Of The Famous...

Secret Hairstyle Tips Of The Famous
It's impossible, of course, to talk about all the varieties of facial problems a hairstyle may be called upon to solve. The number of combinations possible on this small area we call the human face is infinite. There really is no such thing as two identical people. There are many subtle differences on the most identical of identical twins that make it easy for people who know them well to tell them apart. Read on...

Does Your Current Hairstyle Date You !

Choose I style that is fresh and new...

Farrahs facial shape is a combined oblong/slightly square. The hairstyle that made her a trend setter was right on for a girl with an oblong/square face. She kept her hair close to the top of the head, and adding fullness at the sides. Fringe bangs will to add softness to her face, and the fullness at the sides add the elusion of width to the face.

Are you considering a hairstyle change? Try to keep up with the latest in trends. You say -- "I am not trendy". Tweak a trendy hairstyle to suit your look, and personality or keep to the simple classic cuts, as did Audrey Hepburn. Don't let your hairstyle scream, I am stuck in 1999...

First You Have To Find The Style Right For You...

Do some research...

How To Find The Right Hair Style
Before you find the hairstyle that is ideal for you you may have to try ten that aren't. Begin experimenting at once and don't let your husband or friends intimidate you. Most people, even those we love and who love us, are quick to applaud our successes but do not as often sustain our courage to try something even if we fail. Still, I think we learn as much from our failures as from our successes. You must hold onto your faith that when you have found the hairdo for you, everyone will be delighted and on a long-term basis.---read on

Compensating For Facial Irregularities

Compensating For Facial Irregularities
There are some very simple rules for selecting a hairstyle that can compensate for what are called facial irregularities. (Remember that every great beauty has had at least one facial irregularity.) These rules, which follow basic laws and principles of proportion known to all artists, can be applied to many many faces with great success.

Consider The shape of your face... Take A Picture Of Yourself

Study It Well .

Jackie was one that new how to choose a hairstyle that best compliment her square facial shape. Note her low forehead. She was smart to wear her hair back with height at the top,the sides of the hairdo also full at the chin, and the temples. This was so complimentary to her square face.

Know the shape of your face. A good way to do this, is to take a photo head on. Study it well. Is your face narrow, heart shaped, square, oval? Is your hair style dragging your narrow face down, making it appear more thin, and narrow? Do you have a large forehead? Could wispy bangs be the answer? Is your face heart shaped? Perhaps you should consider long layers at the sides to add body, and frame your heart shaped face? You get it... Study the photo, if you are unhappy with how your hairstyle at any part of the photo, you need to consider changing your style.

Look to the celebrities... Just can't figure out what hairstyle changes you need? Look to celebrities... with your facial shape. As a rule "most celebrities... " have great stylist helping them enhance their facial shape. So look to the celebrities...

So - What Shape Is Your Face? Tips On How To Get The Perfect Hairstyle, For Your Facial Shape...

Sharon Stone's "Basic Instinct " kick in when it comes to flattering her oval shaped face. She is one of the luck ones that can sport almost any hairstyle, and pull it off...

Its very hard to actually perfectly fit a given face shapes perfectly. The following guidelines will help you soften, and counteract narrowness or width in your face shape. With these simple guidelines you will be well on your way to being able to find a hairstyle that will suit your face shape. Remember you also want to tweak your new hairstyle so that it compliment your personality. Make it your own so to say...

OVAL SHAPED FACE

The oval face : The Gal with the oval shape face can wear any style. Exception, If one has a large nose, it is a must to wear fluffier bangs, and make sure never to center part the do.... If you have a very small nose, wear fewer shorter bangs.

ROUND SHAPED FACE

A round face is wide with a round hairline and round chin line. With a round shaped face, it is best to attempt to create the illusion of length. You can do this by adding height on the top of the head, keeping the hair close at the sides. To complete the style with bangs brushed over to one side.

OBLONG SHAPED FACE

The face that is long and narrow with hollow cheeks is oblong. It is important to make the face appear shorter, and wider. Styling the hair close to the top of the head, and adding fullness at the sides. Fringe bangs will add a softness to the face, and add the elusion of width to the face.

SQUARE SHAPED FACE

A square shaped face is wide with a square shaped hairline and chin. The square lines are best softened by lifting the hair off the forehead, and having the hair come forward at the chin, and the temples.

PAIR SHAPED FACE

The pear shaped face is narrow at the forehead, and wide at the jaw and chin line. The style that compliments a pair shaped face, partially cover the forehead, and keep the style slightly full and high.

DIAMOND SHAPED FACE

The face that is narrow at the forehead and chin, and wide through the cheekbones is diamond shaped. For this face shape,a bit of height on top, and fullness across the forehead. If you choose a longer hairstyle. Keep the height at the top, and fullness at across the forehead, with hair close to the head at the sides or behind the ears, can flair out below the chin. Keep the hair close at the cheekbones.

HEART SHAPED FACE

The heart shaped face is wide at the forehead and narrow at the chin. This shaped face will as a rule look good with most any hairstyle, as the oval shaped face. The most complimentary do- fullness at the jaw, with a center or slightly off-center part, with slanted bangs.

Consider Whats Up -- Tweak A Trendy Style To Suit Your Facial shape...

You May come up with your perfect hairstyle...

It smart to keep up with hairstyle trends. A new trendy style, tweaked to suit your facial shaped, could provide you with the perfect hairstyle.

Soft, wavy, medium to long lengths. Hair that moves and looks natural. What's hot for formal dress -- pulling the hair back into a cascade Grecian look, again the soft waves that frame the face. Believe it or not, buns are back also.

Sharon Stone. - Short, simple and sexy...

Short Hair -- Should I or Shouldn't I ?

Have you had to listen to a girl friend cry because of a botched short cut? Do you look at your Mom, and wonder, why does she still have the same short cut she had when you started kindergarten? Do you have flashbacks of Lady Di's do?

On the other hand, does your busy lifestyle leave you wishing your hair was short, and easy ... Do you think you have just the right facial shape to sport a short cut? Perhaps deep down you love short hair?
Well girl -- don't be afraid to say those four little words. Cut it all off!

But first, before you go to your stylist of choice, do your homework. Check out the latest short hairstyles. Pick one that will compliment your facial shape. There are some great short hairstyles out there. Be armed with a picture of the style you want. Never --- I mean never enter into a short hairstyle without a good picture.

The Right Haircut -- Its all in the hands of the stylist...

THE ART OF HAIRCUTTING
Hairstyling comes pretty close to being an art. It's certainly related to sculpture. A good hairstylist gets and deserves high respect. Taking such factors as the texture of your hair, the shape of your head, your features, your natural partings into consideration he knows which of several cutting techniques to use to arrive at the effect you and he want. He may blunt-cut (a straight across cut), taper or slither your hair so that it falls in layers, cut it sopping wet, slightly damp or dry. Ernie Adler cuts my hair when its been towel dried only--- read on...

Find The Right Stylist...

Its so important to find the right stylist... Shop around. If you are out in public, and see a do you love... Be brave, and ask "I love your hair, where and who cut it?"

As a rule if a salon is hard to book... Thats the salon you want to go to. It will be worth the wait.

If you are not satisfied with your stylist, change is good... When it comes to your hairstyle, you can't always be loyal to one stylist.

A Hairstyle should denote your lifestyle - not your age...

Soft and sweet...

Waves of sophistication...

Fun And sassy...

Free spirited locks...

Bobbed and trendy....

Long and sexy...

A giant step towards having beautiful hair is the purchase of a few essential items of equipment. First, and foremost-one or more genuine natural bristle brushes.

SCALP MASSAGE...
If you're an orderly soul organize your massaging so that every inch of your scalp gets moved by your fingers. It's the scalp that should do the moving, your fingers must stay more or less in one place but by the smallest rotation or back and forth motion you should be able to move much larger areas of your scalp. If your head begins to itch, that's wonderful inspiration not to scratch but to massage with the base of your fingertips.--read more...

WASHING AND OVERWASHING...

CHANGING COLOR?...
A certain amount of safe "lightening" is possible with rinses. You can buy these anywhere. But rinses primarily bring out the highlights in your hair or restore faded or overbleached hair to its natural shade. And they wash out with the next shampooing. read more...

Amazing lens, so many styles to choose from.
I have also seen those software application to put in your pick and see yourself in different styles prior to having it.
However, I can be choosy as I have this sad problem of hair loss and have been focusing on taking care of that, preferably a brush cut or so is recommended for people who suffer from hair loss. I did find some amazing stuff on hair loss at Thinning Hair , I am sure will be useful for people suffering from hair loss.

I was a hairdresser for ten years and I enjoyed your site. I always told my customers that a hair style was the cheapest form of plastic surgery that you could find. It can litterly transform your appearance. I have been out of the business longer than I was in it but I still enjoy reading about the new hair trends. One word of advice, if you go to a new hairdresser go to them at least three times, they need the chance to get to know you and your hair. I say this because my hair can act weird until the person cutting it gets used to it.
