Simon Pegg
Educated at Bristol University, Simon Pegg started out as a stand-up comedian before making the move to television and film. In 1995, he made the show "Six Pairs Of Pants", where he met Jessica Stevenson and Edgar Wright.Further appearances on "Saturday Night Live" and a long-standing role as 'Jools' in the ITV sitcom "Faith in the Future" followed. In 1997, he cropped up in a classic episode of "I'm Alan Partridge" entitled Watership Alan, playing a television director dealing with the angered farming community of Norwich.
Pegg also co-starred in "Big Train", a surreal and ingenious sketch show (from the creators of "Father Ted") which boosted his profile further. He played a lead role in the excellent but underrated "Hippies".
"Spaced", however, put him firmly on the comedy map. Written by and co-starring Pegg and Jessica Stevenson, this original and brilliantly observed sit-com marked them both as major comedy talents. The second series solidified the shows' cult status.

Nick Frost
Originally from Essex, Nick is one of the new wave of British comic actors up and coming in both television and movies alike.Nick created the persona of roly-poly gun-mad Mike Watt to amuse Simon, who loved the character. Frustrated to see Nick's obvious talents as an actor going to waste, Simon incorporated the character of Mike into the world of Spaced, as Tim's ever faithful childhood friend. He then threatened Nick with a carving knife and said, "If you don't appear in our show, I'll cut your nuts up." How could Nick refuse?
