Shawnee Mountain: The Perfect Winter Vacation for Families!

One of the reasons my family decided to go to Shawnee mountain for our winter vacation ski trip is because of how affordable it is. In addition to regular low rates, there are major group rates which worked out awesome for my family, since there are eight of us. You can even purchase season passes if you think you will return more than once in a year.

If you want to do more than just go skiing, check out nearby Shawnee Lake. Its the perfect place for ice skating!

Shawnee Mountain is a ski and snowboarding resort that is full of never-ending activities.

For your convenience and so that you can enjoy yourself too, Shawnee even offers child care services. With the child card services the adults in our family could actually enjoy ourselves a little bit too instead of just watching the kids have fun.

Shawnee Mountain also offers snow tubing with an amazing snow tubing park! You don't have to worry about your children snow tubing by themselves. Shawnee offers tandem snow tubes that can hold two people, so you can go snow tubing with your children.

Shawnee even offers childcare services! We decided to use the childcare services for two hours so that we could enjoy ourselves on the courses that the children could not go on. We were able to have fun without having to worry about the children. Usually when we go on a family vacation, we spend most of the time watching the children enjoy themselves, with our vacation to Shawnee we were actually able to enjoy ourselves too!

The childcare services are extremely affordable. It was only $5 an hour per child! They do have a $40 rate for all day childcare. This would be a great option for parents that want to take a romantic vacation for two but still want their children nearby for their ease of mind. Please keep in mind that Shawnee only offers childcare services daily until 5pm. They do not offer overnight childcare.

If you are unsure about your skiing snowboarding skills, then you consider checking out the skiing and snow boarding school. All of us participated in the school. Some of us because it had been awhile and we needed a refresher and the rest because they were beginners.

Shawnee Mountain offers group lessons, private lessons, and even has lessons for children.

Often when you go to a ski resort they have one or two beginner trails and a few advanced courses.

Shawnee Mountain is an excellent place for your ski resort trip because it has different levels of courses (or trails). There are plenty of beginner courses, moderate level courses, advanced courses and extreme courses. Shawnee Mountain has 23 different slopes and trails and also several terrains.

Shawnee Mountain really is the best place for a winter vacation. It is affordable and there is something for everyone to do. The cost was just right and so were the activities located within the resort. There are not a lot of resorts that you can attend for such a reasonable price with the entire family. The childcare & nursery option was simply the icing on the cake.
