Before the album She's So Unusual, which had both She Bop & Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Cyndi was in a band called Blue Angel made up of Cyndi as lead singer, John Turi on sax and keyboards, Arthur Neilson on guitars, Johnny Morelli on drums, & Lee Brovitz on bass. Blue Angel had a three year run with one album release before disbanding.
Their album, Blue Angel, was released three years before Cyndi Lauper's debut solo album, She's So Unusual. Blue Angel had been out of print since 1980 until a limited release by Hip-O records in 2005.
