- I love reading Sherlock Holmes...my default when my brain is not working and I just want to enjoy reading. Wish, we have Halloween here.

- I do a variation on this costume nearly every year. Last year was BBC, and I'm bringing that back for an encore, having found better items, but in years past I've done many different costumes all along the same line. Never actually gone the deerstalker-and-Inverness route, though... Like the inclusion of the riding crop. (Might use it for this year's costume...)

- Like you I love Sherlock Holmes and all the various books written with him or about him. I love the new BBC Sherlock. It is cast so perfectly. I admit I like the houndstooth coat and deerstalker hat even though it is more theatrical then accurate. Your lens has inspired me. I would love to go as Sherlock Holmes, but since I am five feet two and stocky I may pick up the good doctor's bag and go as Dr. Watson instead. Excellent lens.
