I love to visit Shipshewana Indiana. I have several stops I have to make every trip, and there are several destinations that are worth the time and effort to visit.

It's a wonderful place to kick back and enjoy yourself at a more leisurely pace. There's something there for all ages from carousels and candy shops for the kids, to museums, flea markets, and water parks for whole family fun.

Shipshewana Indiana is worth the visit for the food and the atmosphere. While you're there make sure you try a Jo Jo's pretzel, take a ride on the carousel, visit the museum, and take a buggy tour to one of the local working farms, you'll be glad you did.

You'll enjoy shopping in their unique downtown. There's a shop for everyone, from herbs and spices, to toys and antiques and everything in between.

5 Things You Shouldn't Miss In Shipshewana Indiana

1. The weekly flea market on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from May through October from 8 am to 5 pm.(there are also special holiday dates over the 4th of July).

2. Jo Jo's Pretzels is a don't miss experience if you enjoy homemade pretzels, these are the best!

3. The working farm tours are a wonderful learning experience, especially for children.

4. The Shipshewana Carousel in the top story of the Davis Mercantile building features beautiful hand carved animals your kids will love to ride.

5. Menno-Hof offers the Amish- Mennonite story from the history to the present day story.

I went to Shipshewana Indiana this last weekend with my family. I had a great time browsing all the plants and garden ornaments they have there. My favorites were the tin flowers I spied at one of the shops (Eash Sales).
