Sometimes you find the right shoes for the right event, they fit, and they're the right color, but you wish they had a little more style or sparkle. They're just too plain or too formal. Shoe Clips will give your shoes the lift they need to match your outfit or your mood!

Shoe clips probably originated in the 19th century, although buckles and bows on shoes were popular centuries before that. However, the idea of detachable decorations on plain shoes appears to belong to the thrifty Victorians. The "Make Do and Mend" of World War II gave women the encouragement to adapt their existing shoes with ribbon, button, brooch or whatever they could convert from old accessories. For a while this adaptation continued, but by the end of the sixties had fallen from favor as larger bolder acrylic decorations had become fashionable.

Now, a new generation has found vintage shoe clips and given them a new lease of life!
