3. - During Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 suede is very trendy and it comes in a variety of shades.
4. - Looking totally chic satin shoes come as a very beautiful shoe trend of Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012
5. - Wedge trend has transferred to Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 from the previous season. But if in Spring/ Summer 2011 we have seen colorful and unusual platforms for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 designs are more modest and elegant
6. - As well as the wedge trend, lacing has been brought by designers from Spring/ Summer 2011 fashion season. And we also see the transformation of the style. Lacing, which used to be rather delicate and feminine in Spring, has become sexier and more aggressive in Fall and Winter.

This popularity will tend to carry over from Summer into the Autumn / Fall 2011, and then again in 2012's fashion trends.

Swedish clogs, with their wooden sole and leather upper, have had the largest style impact on the trend. And it's such a combination of materials that you want to be wearing should you invest in a pair of clogs. Of course, the upper doesn't have to be leather. The pair of Chanel clogs featured combine a wooden heel and sole with a studded, linen upper.

Kitten heels are the ugly step-sister of the heel family.

Designers were channeling for the fall, showing decidedly ladylike footwear silhouettes topped off with thin ankle straps. Matching shoe styles were the call of the day at Gucci, Moschino and Brioni... where prints were brought down from the apparel to create a continuous look.

Giuseppe Zanotti and Gianvito Rossi took their jewel-toned platforms up a notch with sexy and delicate ankle straps on round-toe pumps. Albino went for an elegant touch with fur-embellished classic pointy toe pumps featuring a contrast ankle strap for extra interest.

Whether lime, emerald or olive, green popped up on many a runway for fall 2011.

Moschino Cheap & Chic opted for a cheeky take on the menswear-inspired trend with a lime-green metallic kiltie loafer, while Dolce & Gabbana and Pucci both showed more ladylike styles in emerald hues.

Prada was all about trompe footwear this season, with knee-high suede boots in asparagus colors featuring bright-green snakeskin to create an ankle-strap pump look.

Emporio Armani favored grass-green suede booties worn with cropped black pants, while Sergio Rossi was playing with ankle lacing on jade velvet pumps.

Subtilety is back in style.

Designers started with classic silhouettes in nude tones and playing with crystals and touches of metallic shines. Jimmy Choo catered to its celebrity clients with suede undersoles and heels completely encrusted in Swarovski crystals to sparkle from every angle.

Le Silla, Burak Uyan, and Edmundo Castillo for Santoni Rose Collection also indulged in glamorous heel interest.

Casadei and Rene Caovilla kept it classic with an elegant jeweled pump and evening sandal. Sergio Rossi mastered the art of evening booties with blush satin style featuring plenty of glitz, but executed in a color palette for an all-around beautiful design.

Boots, are always popular for the Fall with many different lengths and heels. They were lace-up knee high boots on the runway for Tracy Reese, along with menswear inspired black patent high heeled oxfords. Narcisco Rodriguez also featured flat calf boots with lace up black and gray. Ankle boots and booties are also sure to dominate the Fall.

Feminine styles are popular, with strappy peep-toe pumps featuring platform and stiletto heels on the runway for Mackage. Jill Stuart gave us a pair of chunky high heels adorned with a coppery bow and flower design, which could easily transition from a day at the office to an evening out. Other great heels for a night out or formal occasion are bronze and black rhinestone adorned stilettos featured in the collection from Binetti.

While many collections featured classic shoe styles, others went with more dramatic, artistic, and futuristic looks. Chris Benz featured high platform ankle booties reminiscent of a Monet painting and black and white platforms with realistic smoky images. An updated zebra print was seen in high platform ankle booties and platform t-straps for Nanette Lepore, along with metallic platform Mary Janes.

Boots seem to be the hottest shoe trend for this fall. They come in different shapes, styles and fabrics and it would be impossible for you not to find one to your liking.

However, among so many boots, there is another very famous trend for this Winter 2011. Prada, Cacharel, Marc by Marc Jacobs, or at Stella McCartney... means delicacy and lightness when it comes to shapes and fabrics they use. At Prada we could see the contrast between patent leather shoes and turquoise or mauve moccasins worn with thick, heavy socks made from knitted wool.

At Stella McCartney, patent leather shoes are open on the sides and worn with dresses and bermudas. Whereas at Marc by Marc Jacobs or Cacharel derby shoes are the hottest trend and worn with fine black socks.

Thigh high boots are incredible sexy and will give you a vintage feel to any outfit.

Christopher Bailey for Burberry Prorsum, John Galiano for Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier for Hèrmes, Tommy Hilfiger, and Barbara Bui are designers who bring thigh boots for Fall/Winter 2011 on the catwalks, making them one of the hottest fashion trends.

If you are skeptic when it comes to wearing thigh boots, you should take a look to fashion runways and draw your inspiration. You could wear them with a jacket and a lacy skirt like in the Burberry Prorsum runway show. Thigh high boots became so successful due their amazing gift of lengthening the leg, giving them femininity and versatility... as you can wear them with almost anything.

High-heeled moccasins are a special item that cannot be replaced in the fashion world. Maybe this is the reason for the strong comeback they had this fall/winter. Even though they have high-heels, they are super comfy and they look extremely cute.

Pointed-toed shoes made a strong comeback this season. We have seen them at Isabel Marant in a rock version, at Stella McCartney in a minimalist version paired with tunics, tapering trousers or stirrup pants, and sleeveless coat-dresses.

Louis Vuitton had a more retro approach matching pointed-toed pumps with block heels and flat bows to fresh, with feminine fifties-sixties outfits.

This season fur high boots can be seen everywhere.

And when we say "fur" we mean not only furry coats and jackets, but it also includes fur shoes, handbags, fur high boots and, why not, furry trousers. However, no need to panic if you are an animal rights activist as most fashion houses are... we used synthetic fur for these collections.

Chanel is a good example in this sense as their theme was global warming. Fur boots can be seen at Vanesssa Bruno, Dolce and Gabbana and Chanel.
