since we have to buy stuff anyway, why not shop in a way that benefits us all.

Great list that you've created! The only thing that made me a little...upset was the link with the Zazzle shops where you said that they raise awareness and 'sometimes' funds. If they aren't donating their small percent that means they are just making money off of the causes, or that was what I had been informed of a while ago. So that's kind of shady, in my opinion. Otherwise, I loved the list!

Thank you for posting this. I understand your concerns and I had some of the same, but choose to list that blog because of the many shops she highlights which do donate. Also, on some which she lists which do not donate, the shop owners are actually people who suffer from the disease, which I don't consider as shady as since at least you are supporting someone with the problem the awareness products deal with. And she's clear about not all the shops donating.

Still, your comment made me think I should have some sort of warning here about checking sites to see if they still donate (since I can't re-check often, and sometimes places change their policies) and using your discretion, since I don't have a way to confirm that many of the shops listed here actually donate as they say they do. That was something missing that your comment prompted me to ad. Thanks!

Wow, this is such a wonderful resource. I 'heart' everything here. Imagine if everyone shopped from the above sites - how much we could do for the world?
A couple of more you might consider:
    - hatsforhunger.com 100% goes to Heifer International CEO started this when he was 9yo.
    - krochetkids.com Hires women in Uganda to make hats, Sells them in the states, Trains the women to start their own businesses [started out as a college project for these guys]

    Blessed by a SquidAngel

Thank you so much for featuring our Friends of the Park organization here. We really appreciate being a part of the Squidoo family and appreciate all the lensmasters who set a portion of their royalties to benefit our great cause - Veterans Park. Veterans Park in Pendleton SC has a walking trail and playground which was built by volunteers with monies raised in the community. We are now working on our Step Up To The Plate Fundraising Campaign for the renovation of the ball fields and a Veterans Memorial. Thank you for Stepping Up To The Plate for the children of the Pendleton area.

Hi there! What a wonderful group. It's always great to see others giving.
At Norwex Always 10% of all sales go to the Crohn's and Collitis Foundation. This is a cause very near and dear to my heart. Both my husband and my best friend have been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, and there is a pretty good chance my children could have it too. So don't forget, shop at NorwexAlways.com to find a cure for Crohn's and Collitis!
