Things to consider: Standard shopping cards vs. double warehouse shopping carts. Where do you shop the most? Warehouse stores such as Cotsco tend to have larger sized grocery carts. Do you require a cover for twins? A double cover?

How easy is it to put the cover on? Can you easily keep track of your baby/toddler as you're putting the cover onto the cart or does it seem to require a lot of trouble to get on and off?

How long will you be shopping? Some covers have pockets and loops for toys. Certain designers offer lines where you can get matching or complementary fabrics in different items.

"'When I was campaigning, many of my constituents brought it to my attention [that] many shopping carts could possibly have germs and contamination on them,' Rep. Fred Allen, D-Ark., told Good Morning America.

"'When I found the E.coli, I thought it was pretty nasty,' she said. 'I am working on getting a patent on my shopping cart cleaning system.'

"Some supermarkets already offer wipes, but if yours does not, germ experts say the smartest thing to do is wash your hands and your child's hands after you leave.
