Addicted to online shopping?

If you, just like me, have this uncontrolable addiction to shopping....then please take some of your precious shopping 'time out' and continue reading...below you will find some useful tips and links to some of the best shopping sites I have come across so far..

I would like to stress however, that I take no responsability if you end up maxing out all your credit cards..just go get a few more! Ok...just kidding...Don't!!! seek help instead :P

How exciting is it to shop online? How convenient is it to shop online? I guess once you start you just cannot stop....there should be a warning sign somewhere!

I have always had a passion for fashion and thus for shopping, but shopping in shops can sometimes get pretty stressful. Browsing the clothes with screaming babies, or waiting endlessly by the changing rooms...been there done that and don't want to do it anymore!

Online shopping however is a completley different experience. You can shop in the comfort of your own home while sipping on your fave cup of coffee. It's fairly simple and you can shop whenever you want...even when the shops outside are closed!

Also, how exciting is it to wait for the products to arrive? It's like Christmas morning everytime the postman delivers a parcel home...I guess that makes the postman Santa Claus?! If like me, you tend to buy more then one product every day, then by the time the parcel arrives it is likely you have forgotten what it is exactly you bought, so it is similar to receiving a gift isn't it?

The only prerequisite...is a few credit cards or a rich boyfriend / husband or both!!

Shopping for Clothes Online

So you cannot try or feel the clothes but most of the websites below have such good quality close-up pictures that you can almost touch the clothes.

Some websites such as Asos.com also feature a catwalk film demonstrating the models actually wearing the clothes which is great especially when you have doubts of length of texture of some particular cloth.

Some of you might not feel confident enough to simply purchase clothes online without actually trying them on...and I don't blame any of you. Trying on clothes is the bonding moment between you and that particular shirt that you simply cannot walk out of the shop without it. If you know your exact measurements then shopping online is just like shopping on the high street..

Most of the websites have a return policy whereby you will be fully refunded for your clothes if decide to return them. Shipping costs will of coarse be your out of pocket expense, however this is never a big deal.

I have had occassions when sizes or colour varied slightly or I simply changed by mind about certain purchases, however I have always been fully refunded so far (fingers crossed).

Asos The Online Fashion Store: I have shopped several times from this site and I highly recommend it. You can find everything from clothes, underwear, shoes, swimwear and accessories (both male and female). The items are very well priced. Shipping is very fast and not too expensive and very safe. I have also sometimes had to return some of their items due to incorrect sizes etc and I was always refunded without any delays.
Make sure you always keep an eye out on the Clearance section as you can always bag a good bargain.
Here you will find many famous brands such as Miss Sixty, Diesel, D & G, Fossil, Ted Baker and the list goes on and on and on
Street Sensation - UK High Street Fashion and more: This website is pretty incredible! You can literally 'walk' down the streets in the UK and enter each shop! I have never actually shopped from here but a lot of my friends have and nobody has complained so far!
La Redoute: I have had the pleasure of buying from the website previousley. I called the number on the website and got a catalogue delivered to my doorstep. Here you will find female, male and children clothing, shoes, nightwear together with homewear. The prices are very competative and thre are always great reductions. Delivery is very swift and exchanging sizes etc is never a problem.
La Redoute also have seasonal special offers including free gifts with purchases over a certain price.
Play.com: Here you will also find great female and male clothing brands such as Roxy, Bench, Quicksilver, O'Neill, Fly 53, Icon Eyewear and many more..
Shipping is fast and free and you have the option of paying in British Pound or Euro. Aswell as free, shipping is also very fast and should you have any doubts on the whereabouts of your items, do not hesitate to call their friendly call centre who are always more then happy to help you. Payment is very safe and secure and I highly recommend this website without any hessitation!
7forallmankind - Best Denim Wear: This website caters for some of the best denim jeans ever made. The fit is incredible and they cater for all shapes and sizes. The prices are a little above average but better having one pair of 7forallmankind jeans then 10 cheaper jeans.
Yoox: Another great fashion website where you can shop from a great selection of famous designer brands at discounted rates. I cannot personally comment on my shopping experience here, simply becuase I have never shopped from this site.

Shopping for Shoes Online

I said that online shopping for clothes is hard...I am sure you all agree that shopping online for shoes is sometimes mission impossible. Browsing for shoes is easy because you think they all look gorgeous with your new dress, however, actually wearing the shoes is a totally different story.

The trick is to have both of your feet accuratley measured and I do stress BOTH feet as feet tend to vary by half a size from left to right....yes nobody is perfect!

Most of the shoe websites have the different continental sizes so finding your size isn't as hard as you thought.

Jimmy Choo: Definatley one of my most favourite shoe brands at the moment. Here you will find a collection of sexy and glamorous shoes mixed with original cutting edge design.
Shoes.com: Shoes.com has some of the nices and trendiest shoes around. What I like best about this site is that it caters for both male and female aswell as for all tastes and sizes. You can also find childrens shoes and gym shoes, so it really is a one stop shop for shoes. They also sometimes offer free shipping so worth keeping an eye out on these offers...

Shopping for Cosmetics Online

Ok, it's getting easier now. We all know what make-up we want, the brands, the colours, the perfume we love, the creams etc etc. I personally feel much more confident buying cosmetics online.

When it comes to make-up, we normally know what we want..ok we do not have the testers but again, we know what colours suit our skin tones best.

Regarding creams, I sometimes like to try a patch test before buying, however, when I stick to one cream I tend to keep buying the same one once it runs out. I find the reviews on websites on creams very helpful, so before purchasing any new creams, be sure to read a few reviews on the product first. This actually should apply to all other products you buy online.

This is the area where I excel. I am sure most of you agree that a nice handbag is the ultimate 'accessory' (although I should refer to it more as a necessity). The handbag is the finishing touch....The icing on the cake :P

In my opinion, you can identify a woman by the handbag she is wearing. It speaks a thousand words.

Although, like myself, not everyone one can afford a different Louis Vuitton for every occasion, we can surely still appreciate these bags and their prestige.

I too am addicted to online shopping. I rarely buy makeup in stores any more. I have my own squidoo about my online shopping sight as a matter of fact if you want to check it out. Great job!

I like this lens! I used to shop ALOT but now I am a "little" older I hate the hastle of the stores. I think I'm going to try some of your suggested stores. Thanks for writing this informative lens. 5 stars, favorite, fan and lensrolled to my 3 lady lenses (because most ladies love to shop).
