A Shortage in Nursing Makes for Great Opportunities -- Nursing Shortage
The shortage in nursing is a chance for those who are looking for a great career, new grads and those of us who have been around a while.
Whether you are unsure of what job you want or are looking for a new challenge, the nursing shortage will provide you with lots of options!
How to Use the Nursing Shortage to your Advantage.
What Qualifications do I Need to Become a Nurse?
Your options are endless!
Every state has a licensing board and every school has different programs. With that being said, once you have your license in one state, you can easily transfer it to another without needing to sit for the NCLEX nursing exam again. (Trust me, once is enough!)
You can obtain an LPN/LVN degree in one year or a RN degree in as little as two years. If you would prefer to get a Bachelor degree, it will take four years. The one and two year degrees are usually at a community college, while the four year is a t a University.
Once you pass an accredited program, you will sit for the nursing exam. When you pass, you will be a nurse capable of working in a hospital, doctors office, surgical facility, home health care or any number of positions that are available.
