An Introduction to the Band
Showaddywaddy were formed in 1973 with the amalgamation of "Choise" and "The Golden Hammers," debuting in the UK singles chart the following year. They did write and record their own compositions but largely knew their greatest success through cover versions of songs from the original rock 'n' roll era of the late 50's and early 60's. The group have known little chart success since the early 1980's but still continue to tour and perform to this day.
