My version of Yoga..... in the shower!!

Practice my version of yoga by doing a few simple DAILY exercise stretches to tone your muscles as part of your daily shower ritual and IT WILL MAKE A HUGE and POWERFUL DIFFERENCE to your Self-esteem, and build muscle-tone at the same time. Have those ah-ha...! ("light-bulb moments") using the world's most powerfully known therapy while stretching while you shower. Your body, mind and soul becomes synchronised, experience becoming one with yourself.

Who says sitting cross-leggged on the floor after doing some yoga in the shower cannot be super beneficial?

By the time I head out in the morning, I will have washed, worked-out using relaxing yoga stretches in the shower. My head is already "tuned" into the day ahead, feeling great!!.

Doing yoga in the shower has huge value and benefits, and I'm going to show you how many ways there are. It's addictive, so consider yourself warned, when I've missed a session, my day just doesn't feel the same. It becomes a way-of-life, and what better than to create something into your day that is a lifestyle and not just a passing fad.

BASICS FIRST: What on earth is a Loofah.....

.... and how is it Beneficial?

A loofah (luffa) is a scrunched-up, dry, visually as well as tactile-daunting little wad of "torture" that is vital to your shower-routine ;-)

Let's see, for healthy glowing skin, old (dead) skin cells need to be removed and this is where our friend the loofah is invaluable. There are lovely exfoliating skin products available in the marketplace, through distributors and on e-Bay, which can be used together with the loofah, leaving your skin looking great, healthy and youthful.

Ever heard of lymph nodes? Using the loofah in circular motions over the skin helps to improve blood circulation, and ALSO encourages the lymphatic system to drain. Very important to remember while loofah-ing, rub the loofah from your hands and feet, up your arms and legs into the direction of your chest area, where your heart is.

Push-up Option 1: READY, STEADY, GO!!!

Want to do push-ups in the Shower....????

Face the corner of the shower, place your arms at right angles, shoulder-height up against each wall. Press your hips forward into the corner, until you feel a nice stretch in your chest and back. Hold for 20 seconds (counts) and move your arms 10cm up against the wall, twice more. Remember to breathe deeply during total duration.

This is great for extending your spine, helping to elongate your spinal muscles, which shorten while you sleep.

Push-up Option 2

Oh, give me a lower-back stretch.

Face the shower full-on, straighten your arms leaning against the wall with your hands in line with your shoulders. By bending your knees a little, feel your hips dip forwards until your back arches nicely. Hold for 20 seconds.

This movement is great to assist your spinal disks to decompress. Remember to breathe deeply for total duration.

Push-up Option 3

Stretch those hams....!

Facing the wall, and staying up, take half a step back with your right foot. Keep your feet flat on the floor and stretch your right calf and ham by leaning forward. Bend your elbows until you can't move forward anymore. Hold for 20 seconds. Switch legs and repeat. Remember to breathe deeply for total duration.

This movement, done daily, can prevent lower back pain by stretching your calves and hamstrings in this practice.
