Shrimp Alfredo Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb. shrimp
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 to 6 pieces of fresh garlic
- 1 pint half and half
- 2 oz. Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/8 tsp basil
- 1/8 tsp oregano
- 1 lb package of pasta
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Clean the shrimp by peeling its shell and ripping the legs. Gently pull the shell off and keep tail intact if possible.
2. In a pot of boiling water, put in the pasta and stir occasionally so it will not stick together.
3. Grate the Parmesan cheese and chop the garlic.
4. In a frying pan, heat the butter and saute the garlic until it turns golden brown.
5. Add in the shrimp and saute until the shrimp changes its color. Add the half and half and spread the cheese.
6. Add in the basil and oregano. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
7. In a cup, put the flour and add some water. Mix thoroughly and add the flour mixture in the shrimp sauce.
8. Add the salt and sauce is ready when it's thick enough.
9. Drain the pasta and place on a serving plate. Top it with the shrimp sauce.
10. Serve with asparagus.
