The new CD "Let It Beat"
Everyone who has listened to Shwayze should give the new album a chance. For all of you who already know the Malibu Duo, you won't be disappointed. The sophomore release Let it Beat is made for parties, dancing and feelin' like a rockstar under the Cali sun.

Shwayze is back for round 2, and they haven't changed much since the last CD. Let It Beat will get everyone dancing and is great for listening to on a road trip, or playing in the background of a party. With that said, it will disappoint the fans who were looking forward to something more musically complex. The fans have come to love Shwayze for their upbeat tempos, My favorite thing about this record is the guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Roy Bittan (from Bruce Springsteen's band) and Ric Ocasek (front man to The Cars, producer for Nada Surf, No Doubt and Weezer). All those guys are huge in the music biz and it really goes to show how much respect Shwayze has earned over the last couple years.

Get U Home
The first single
I ran across "Get U Home" on youtube.com a couple weeks ago, and to be honest it has been stuck in my head ever since. This song flows as smooth as Shwayze's rhymes: " She tastes like cigarettes and alcohol Up all night on adderall Innocent, but not at all " This is the first single off the new album "Let It Beat," and it's my favorite. The song sounds like classic Shwayze, upbeat, easy to listen to, with a side of dirty. This song is sure to get you jumping

Self-Titled Debut
Ever since this album dropped summer of 2008 it has been on constant rotation in my CD player. The whole record is easy to listen to and most everybody can identify with the lyrics. It combines great beats with playful lyrics; usually referencing smoking pot and hitting on girls.

Now, doesn't that sound like summer? This is a feel good CD that almost every kid can identify with and sing along.
