Cool Siamese Cat Stuff...

Siamese cats are really cool. They're inquisitive, intelligent, loyal (almost like a dog) but most of all, they show affection and they're vocal.

They talk to you, and you can't help talking back. Really!

Here's a close look at Siamese cats...

New YouTube

Here's a great cat video from YouTube. Cats and their boxes - what is it about them?

Kitten and his box.

Music: Arabesque No. 2 by Debussy Update: Sorry I had to swap the audio around with youtube's premade music. I never had Spoon's permission to use the music and so I took it down. Awareness: CHEETAHS - Running Out of Time! Namibia is one of the last refuges of the remaining world Cheetah population. A quarter of all the remaining cats are found in Nambia. It is estimated their numbers globally have declined by over 90% in the last 100 years. A local thorn bush species is invading the savannah in the country, causing over US$90 million each year in lost revenue to Namibian farmers, whilst also destroying the native habitat of the fastest of the cats. Now the Cheetah Conservation Fund has pioneered a scheme to clear the thorn bush and turn it into cheap fuel briquettes. The project is creating jobs at the same time as helping to restore the hunting ground of the endangered cheetah. Vote for the Cheetah Conservation Fund "No Beating About The Bush" at: http://www.theworldchallenge.co.uk/vote.php Voting ends 13th November 2009, you can vote once per e-mail address - remember a vote for the CCF is a vote for the CHEETAH! Learn more about the Cheetah Conservation Fund and their efforts here: http://www.cheetah.org/ Description of Video: The kitten in the background wants to get back in the box soooo bad. But this kitten took over. :p The kitten is not stuck...it might do your heart some good to see my other vid of them getting out of the box. It's a simple thin cardboard box. Thin enough that they eventually tore it apart. The kittens wanted to get in because they want to play with the tissue inside....notice the tissues thrown everywhere? When he pushes his head in he's trying to bite the tissue inside....very expensive lab equipment, I wouldn't put them in there on purpose. But the moment was priceless.

Siamese Cat Behavior

So what is it about Siamese cats that's so interesting?

Well one of the most amazing features of course is that they're so talkative - once you've had a talkative cat who talks to you with their expressive voices, you can never go back!

Heh, I think it's got something to do with what i've heard once, that some people need to hear things to feel as if they're connecting, and some people need to be shown.

With talkie cats, you get both!

Heheheh, until next time.

Are Siamese cats lap cats?

So are Siamese cats lap cats, and how touchy feely are they?

Well, they are pretty affectionate. But they are equally independent. I think they have a great blend of the two.

And because they have a good blend, it's great fun, and makes things much more interesting than just a pliable cat if you know what I mean :)

They will sleep and rest on your lap especially if they're in the mood.

Sometimes, the moment I wake up, is the moment she appears from her sleep outside on the balcony as if she knows...

I had a stray Siamese cat show up in my yard last night. He/she was beautiful and wanted to get to know my other two cats, Wiley and Ghost. They, of course, wanted no part of him/her. I've had a part Siamese in the past and I remember the loud meow. Very nice lens.

Love the video. They're so cute, those kittens. I have a chocolate point Siamese.
I'm in the middle of trying to build a lens about Siamese cats. I'm a newbie at this and am having lots of problems. But I'll get there. Siamese cats are unique, aren't they?

lol! I have a beautiful lilac-point kitten, and I can relate! She's pretty talkative, but she is definately a lap cat! I think it may have something to do with the fact that she's partially deaf & blind, so she is always searching for a connection with someone with a heartbeat!

    I love my Meezer!

Hi there. I have a Siamese. He is a Lilac Point. I totally get you on how talkative they are. And protective. When I had my second child, Thailand wouldn't leave the side of the bassinet. Every time the girls cry he's there. He even greets me at the door when I come home.
