Another great way to save big via eBay is to search for lots, ie, more than one of an item. Let's say that you're looking for children's clothing - you could search for

Were you aware that it's free to sign up on eBay and start bidding and buying? Yes indeed - all you need to get the ball rolling on eBay is an eBay ID (once you win an item, you do need to pay for it, of course).
Think of your eBay ID like a Yahoo Mail ID or an AOL Messenger name or a ICQ nickname or a .. It's simply a handle by which you identify yourself on eBay.
You must have ready three important bits of information when you register for free on eBay. These include:
Your personal information - Name, address, phone
<<============================>>
Your email address - This is so you can receive notifications of when you sell an item or are the successful bidder of one.
<<============================>>
Your eBay ID - This is your own personal nickname that you yourself choose. Be creative -
If you're a sports enthusiast, you could choose something like mikelovesbaseball or runningaceSue.
If you live in the south east, you could use joyfromCA or JohnAZ.
Do you love pets instead? Consider something like moose007 or WolvesRcool.
And so on, and so on.
In addition, eBay states on their site that IDs:
May contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and/or many symbols.
Must be at least (2) characters long.
Are case sensitive.
Can't contain spaces.
Can't be obscene, profane or hateful.
And IDs can't contain:
The "@" symbol.
The "&" (ampersand) symbol.
The letter "e" followed by numbers.
URLs (for example xyz.com).
The word, "eBay." Only eBay employees may use "eBay" in their User IDs. This is to prevent non-employees from posing as employees.
Sounds good? Okay then....you can now:

PS - Here's one of my favorite "Secret Weapon" uses for eBay!
You know what I love using eBay for?
It's my secret weapon for finding great end-of-the-year gifts for teachers!
I'm most serious. Over the years, I've found out what my kids' teachers enjoy as hobbies and the like, and have bought via eBay:
a Mousepad of a ballroom dancer
a 1926 edition of the Girl Scouts Handbook
an authentic school handbell
and more!
And yes, I'm serious about the bell:
