Will You Cry For Me When I am Dead?
Its hard to loose a child under any circumstance but unwanted children or those uncared for by parents are at risk and we need to do more to help them
Children are killed every year by parents out of their mind with alcohol, drugs, divorce pain, depression, or whatever? How many are known to be in abusive situations and nothing is done for them until they are dead?
My heart bleeds, my eyes weep, and my brain is overwhelmed by the tragedy that befalls so many little children. They are abused physically, scarred mentally and tortured spiritually. Yet little is done to help them. This lens aims to raise awareness about this issue
WARNING: The images are difficult to look upon but the urgency to do something to help any children in abusive situations will only come to the fore when people see the things that many live through, or don't survive. Please read on and help children in danger. You can make a difference.

Children are without power and their voices go unheeded. If you witness abuse of any description you MUST report it. You could save a child's life.
Stories That Turn Your Stomach

Every day there are horrendous stories of children suffering abuse beyond the level of tolerance that their little bodies can endure. Many are starved to death, some chained up or tied to a chair, some left day and night in cots or rooms alone without even a nappy change. Many are reared in appalling situations where homes are putrid, parents missing or uncaring and the list goes on.
As a parent of 3 beautiful children, now all grown with their own families, it is beyond my comprehension that any parent cannot feel the wonderful joy and love that a small gift from God, packaged in a tiny bundle of soft tender skin, can bring. Every day I thank God for my family and I shed tears for those who have it otherwise.
What is it about drink, drugs, money and life that so many cannot handle? What is it that draws them to destroy that part of their being that loves and enjoys a warm embrace, a beautiful cuddle, a tender kiss? What is it that deprives little children of the warmth, love and protection of parents.
Maybe we cannot solve the world's problems but we surely should solve this one.

But Surely Children Are To Blame
Parents without tolerance

Some people think that a child will make a difference to their lives, especially if they have a bad marriage or something else is wrong. Perhaps they are seeking attention. They might be rebellious against their family and want to do something to make themselves look important. Whatever the reason they bring a little one into the world something is already seriously wrong.
The facts are that no family is immune from this tragedy.
The baby arrives, lovely and cute. There are a lot of people paying you some good attention. They send flowers and presents and the baby is a hit but then it goes wrong. Soon after its birth it begins to cry, to smell, to need feeding and to demand attention of its own. It wants you to do things for it.
Before long you have no time of your own. You wash and clean, change nappies, feed the hungry little blighter and in return it screams its head off at you. You have had enough but what can you do? You want to go out and enjoy yourself but you can't. The little beast says you have to stay home. No one told you it would be like this.
The tension builds, depression sets in. You can't take it so you go out. He is asleep so what does it matter. Gee you are having a good time. Plenty to drink, lots of friends to fill in the time, even some drugs going around. It doesn't hurt to have a puff or two of the marijuana or take a snort of crack.
What time is it? Four am and its time to go?
You open your front door and the squawker is squealing its head off. Why can't it be quite? Its your business what you do isn't it? You decide to make it shut up so you hit it hard across the face. It doesn't matter that its only a few weeks old. No one will ever know. It can't tell on you so you can be as cruel to it as you like. There is no law here, after all the baby is yours.
Tiredness suddenly takes you over. You cannot stand any longer so you plop yourself on the bed. At least now it is quiet and you sleep until . . . What time is it? Oh its midday and the sun is high in the sky. So why didn't the squawker wake you up? Oh well, why disturb it after all its finally quiet and you have a headache.
Then They End Up Here
They Will Still Have Babies
There is no end to the birth statistics. Millions of babies are born every year. In some countries they may be murdered through infanticide. In other places they may simply be abandoned at the nearest hospital or way station. Everywhere there are problems and no solutions.
But its not just murder and abandonment that has come to light in recent times. A recent documentary showed the acid victims in Bangladesh. A baby boy of just one month old had acid poured down its throat by a jealous grandmother The child survived and is now about 4 years old and the skin around the face and over the throat is badly scarred. Why would anyone do this? Yet its done to children of all ages in that country and India. In China baby girls are often slaughtered because of prejudice against them.

BLUE RIBBON AGAINST
Child Abuse; pass it on please!!
My name is Sarah
I am but three,
my eyes are swollen
I cannot see.

I must be stupid,
I must be bad,
what else could have made
my daddy so mad?
I wish I were better,
I wish I weren't ugly,
then maybe my Mommy
would still want to hug me.
I can't speak at all,
I can't do a wrong
or else I'm locked up
all the day long.
When I awake I'm all alone
the house is dark
my folks aren't home.
When my Mommy does come
I'll try and be nice,
so maybe I'll get just
one whipping tonight.
Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
my daddy is back
from Charlie's Bar.
I hear him curse
my name he calls
I press myself
against the wall.

I try and hide
from his evil eyes
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry.
He finds me weeping
he shouts ugly words,
he says its my fault
that he suffers at work.
He slaps me and hits me
and yells at me more,
I finally get free
and I run for the door.
He's already locked it
and I start to bawl,
he takes me and throws me
against the hard wall.

I fall to the floor
with my bones nearly broken,
and my daddy continues
with more bad words spoken.
'I'm sorry!' I scream
but its now much too late
his face has been twisted
into unimaginable hate.
The hurt and the pain
again and again
oh please God, have mercy!
oh please let it end!
And he finally stops
and heads for the door,
while I lay there motionless
sprawled on the floor.

My name is Sarah
and I am but three,
tonight my daddy
murdered me.
There are thousands of kids out there just like Sarah. And you can help
Child and Women Abuse
Women without voices or help
The Tears Will Not bring a Child Back
Or stop the pain of having been born

Don't wait until tragedy hits. You have seen from the videos how much children are hurting when they are abused, neglected, unwanted and are in the hands of violent and uncaring parents, step parents, or others. Be alert and do someone a favor.while time is on their side.
This was an emotional story to write and it should hopefully bring focus onto the millions of children around the world who are born everyday into hate, abuse and violence. Lets put pressure on the right authorities to get this problem sorted.
In India and Bangladesh for instance the problems there are fed by massive overpopulation and yet the statistics continue to grow. Overpopulation in many Asian, African and South American countries, as well as Middle America, are greatly influenced by religious lies that claim misguided rubbish born of ignorance. The people of these regions are stuck in the past through magical beliefs and practices related to ancestors, spirits and false gods.
Surely in this time we can educate them and change their ways. We should not wait for the leaders in these countries to do it - because they won't.
Religious lies are also the bain of the west because some Christian religions prohibit the use of contraceptives and family planning. They wrongly put out statements that contraceptives do not prevent AIDS when science proves the opposite. Yet, we tolerate the ridiculous for the sake of what?
That is something for you to ponder over.

- I used to be a lawyer who specialized in child abuse cases - it was very emotional and difficult work. Most people are so unaware of the child abuse which is all around us. Thank you for writing this. Squid Angel Blessings to you.

- My wife was abused as a child. She never told me until one night she was screaming in her sleep. When I asked she told me the story. It was then I understood why she was so insecure at times.

- I'd like to say this is a great lens, but it is not. Looking at the pictures brings back memories of things I wish I never saw as a Paramedic. It's a shame people exist that could perform such horrific acts. Writing this lens must of been difficult; however, it is written very well.

- Hello Norma :)
What a wonderful lens! I don't know how I couldn't discover it earlier!
What a lesson, a great one!
The day he left his hand upon our baby, I left my husband. I don't like violence, under any kind of form, whether oral or physical. This lens touched the bottom of my heart!

- Thank you for taking the time to do this. Sometimes we get too caught up in our own lives to make a difference in the lives of others.
May God bless you.

- Nice job. Hard to read but the awareness to the cause was much need.
Why Can't We See Through The Fog
Magic is nothing more than slight of hand and belief in things that cannot be seen or proven. Idols made of cement, plaster, wood, or clay are nothing but powerless imagery designed to confuse and control the masses.
In ancient times men took control of the after-life through wild claims and symbolism. They used images to bring the gods into focus and they credited the ancestors with power beyond the grave. Such symbols included wind, water and sun signs. Natural occurrences like volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, cyclones and so on were considered to derive from the god's anger.
Nothing has changed because two thirds of the world at least are still ignorant of basic facts about how these things occur. But ignorance goes further than that. With the age of genetics we know that a living animal must have a double helix, that is a matching set of genes from both parents in order to come into being. Many of the gods of this backward world are supposedly born of a virgin birth, which is an impossibility.
They also do not know that the dead have no living nerves, a vital component of feeling. That means that such things as joy or punishment in the after-life is another misguided perception which must be overturned. These mystical, magical places are supported only by one's imagination and are the key to stopping terrorism and even child abuse.
Let's get things into perspective and start questioning where our beliefs and actions really stem from? Lets get rid of the magic and lies and aim for a better world in which all may be educated into correct thinking. Confusion is the basis of so much that is happening today and drugs, alcohol, governments and religious organizations should be targets for common sense.
