Save Money from Expensive Laser with Home Hair Removal | Silk'n SensEpil Hair Removal

Get ready for the summer beach season in your new bikini with the removal of unwanted body hair. You can do it yourself, in the privacy of your own home, on your own time schedule, and for much less money than you would pay at a salon, a day spa, a laser treatment center or a doctor's office!

Paying for laser hair removal treatments at a salon or day spa can run into thousands of dollars with many repeat treatments. Some times the laser treatments don't work because of the type of skin a person may have. It may not be discovered until you have already gone through many treatments that your skin just happens to be in the 20 percentile of people whose skin will not permit the permanent removal of hair. Unfortunately, you have already gone through the pain (for some it is painful), the lost of work time and the money you have paid for the treatments. Usually, you will not receive a refund.

Previous Laser Hair Removal Not for Home Use

hairy red heartThe introduction of home hair removal technology was originally the long term objective of researchers from the beginning of using laser treatment and pulse light technology for hair eradication. Home based hair removal technology was created out of the need of both men and women who wanted badly to eliminate unwanted hair from a variety of locations over the entire body in privacy. Photo-Epilation (laser) had become the preferred medical technique.

Since the time of the initial unveiling in 1995, laser hair removal, and then pulsed light hair removal technology, had become the professional cosmetic procedure accepted globally. Due to the high cost of the first devices, until just recently the treatment was only obtainable at a doctor's office or Laser Treatment Center. Then cosmologist registered for licenses to be able to perform the procedures in salons and day spas. Recently, with the introduction of Silk'n SensEpil, it made it possible to allow people to start treating themselves in the privacy of their own home. TheSilk'n SensEpil is a compact, inexpensive, as well as safe, home hair removal product.

Cons of Silk'n SensEpil

  • Plan a Head - Should not do a treatment before going out in the sun or tanning. For short trips in the sun, must use a 30 SPF sunscreen to protect skin from UV rays. Treatments take about 4 weeks before a noticeable difference, so start your hair removal in May to be ready for your vacation in June.
  • Not for Dark Skin - Can not be used by people with very dark skin or people with a tan. The light technology searches for dark colored hair and can mistake the dark skin for hair. To address this issue, a unique SKIN COLOR SENSOR is embedded in the Silk'n SensEpil to measure the treated skin complexion at the beginning of each session and occasionally during the session. The SKIN COLOR SENSOR ensures that pulses will only be emitted on suitable skin tones taking the guess work out of treatment.
  • Not for White, Blonde or Gray Hair - The light in the unit searches out dark hair. It may not be able to detect naturally white, blonde or gray hair.
  • Not to be Used Above the Check - In a two-year multi-center clinical study Silk'n SensEpil has been proven safe and effective for the treatment of facial hair. Silk'n SensEpil can be used for treating facial hair from the cheek line downwards. Extra caution should be made to avoid the eyes. I believe the reason for this is to prevent eye damage from the bright light. I would not for any reason use around the eye area.
