Author Sites
- Silver Parrot's Blog
- Although my blog is mostly about my jewelry business and/or my daily life, I do a book review every Friday.
- Linnea Sinclair's Website
- If you haven't discovered Ms. Sinclair's books yet, then hie thee to a Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com and pick them up. They are wonderful fun - my personal fave is "Finders Keepers" but all are good. She's got a great and lively e-mail list going and often has fun contests and other events on her website so be sure to check it all out.
- Alan Dean Foster's Website
- Even if you're not a Foster fan, this site is worth viewing just for his travel photos. The great white shark pictures alone are amazing!
- Sharon Lee and Steve Miller's Website
- I cannot say enough about the Liaden Universe books by these two authors. "Plan B" is on my list of all time favorite books and the rest are great, too. Plus, you can get downloadable versions of their unpublished works via the site.
- Barbara Hambly's Website
- Although she's strayed off into historical fiction lately, Barbara Hambly remains one of my very favorite authors. No one can beat her for versatility - she's done everything from a "Star Wars" novel to vampire fiction (before it was popular) and done it well. I particularly like the Antryg and Joanna stories and the standalone "Stranger at the Wedding" that takes place in the same universe. For campy fun, you can't beat "Bride of the Rat God," either!
- Jim Butcher's Website
- This is another of my all-time favorites. Wizard Harry Dresden is a memorable character and the books provide quick action as well as a lot of humor. An unbeatable combination! The people at the sci fi channel seem to agree as there is a tv show pilot in the works as we speak. But, if you don't believe me...one of the books features giant purple flying monkey demons whose weapon of choice is flaming monkey poo which they throw quite accurately. Need I say more?
- The Faerie Scientific Digest
- A fun Delphi forum run by my talented friend, Jenie. I post excerpts from my book reviews here and there is some original fiction posted by those members who write.
