A Brief Overview of Numerology

Numerology is almost as old as human life. In fact, Numerology writings were found on the back of a tortoise shell in China and is considered to be the oldest piece of writing in existence.
In the sixth century B.C., there was a philosopher and mathematician named Pythagoras. He lived and taught in Southern Greece and is still titled as the father of numerology. However, long before Pythagoras's time, evidence proves numerology was being used in Greece, Rome, Egypt and China. His teachings created a religious and philosophical movement throughout the Roman Empire called Pythagorism. The information he revealed in his teachings were considered sacred and very powerful. It was considered so powerful that teachings would be transmitted only orally and only to the initiated. Later, his mathematical theories were taught in high school geometry!
Pythagoras' belief, among many others then and now, judge that reality is mathematical, order is created out of chaos via numbers and is the principle on which numerology was founded. Numerologists believe that everything can be converted into numbers and that each of those numbers have specific meaning. Many, including scientists and mathematicians, deem you can discover hidden meaning by finding the number value of any word or name. The teachings of Pythagoras were also adopted by Plato and also reinforced by the writings of the Jewish Cabala, Jewish Mysticism and later, some other religions and many other spiritual beliefs.

What is Your Major Lesson to Be Learned in This Life?

Also, Why We Reincarnate

The Life Path is the major lesson which is to be (hopefully) learned in this lifetime. It is the central focus of a person's existence. If you look at the soul regarding reincarnation, it explains that it (we, the same soul forever) returns to life in physical form over and over again. Each physical life we live, we are in pursuit of bettering and evolving our soul. We do this by returning in hopes to concentrate on a specific lesson. We actually choose the lesson before entering a new life; which is our Life Path. Whether you believe in reincarnation or not, your Life Path is still your central, main focus of your life. The Life Path is also known as a Birthpath or Destiny.

Reincarnation is a belief held by many religions, spiritual ways and even by some who do not believe or practice a certain religion. It doesn't have to be connected with religion at all. Have you ever wondered why you may have a certain phobia or fear since you can remember, without an explanation as to why? I will use myself as an example. I have a horrible phobia of large bodies of water and bridges over water. According to my parents, I had no traumatic experience or negative happening that would even remotely point to a reason for this extreme phobia. When I was only a week old and onward, I would scream bloody murder when they attempted to bathe me in the sink. As soon as I saw, heard or felt the water, I freaked out uncontrollably. I don't freak out quite as dramatically as an adult, but I've come pretty close on several occasions! I had to be slightly sedated just to get me to Key West, Florida for my best friends' wedding because there was no other way to get there but to drive over long bridges above the ocean.

I eventually had a past life regression performed and recalled falling off a bridge in some type of buggy with my two young children. We all drowned. I obviously carried this phobia and "baggage" with me into this lifetime. It doesn't mean this is my Life Path, of course. It is simply negative cell memory I took with me, probably with hopes to overcome it and move on. So, there are many lessons and fears to overcome (or come to terms with) that we hope to conquer during each lifetime. The Life Path Number is basically our main purpose and challenge. It is the umbrella above the other smaller ones we face. Having a clear understanding of our Life Path can aid us to attempt to surmount the others, too. That is only one of the ways numerology can assist you. Any attempt to finding ways to perfect your soul is a big step and counts for much.

Best Question to Ask Yourself

And Keep it as a Constant Reminder!!

What is a "Life Path" Number?

This is the most important number. If ever there was a moment of total transformation, it was the moment of your birth. In a nutshell, just as if a play is about to begin, it is the time when the curtain rises and your journeys within this life officially begins. (I say "journeys" because we all have several throughout life.) We all come into a life with a general "plan" but we have the ability to lead the path however we choose. We are all born with our own unique character and potentials that have been prepared just for us for the taking. We are all given free will and have the power to make decisions and choices throughout life. It is our own choice to utilize it all as we see fit.

The Life Path number gives us a broad outline of the opportunities, lessons and challenges we will encounter in this lifetime. Your Life Path, since day one, is basically the road upon which we are traveling. Therefore, the Life Path number is considered the most important one of all.

How to Find Your Life Path Number

Y our Life Path number is based on all the numbers in your date of birth. Here is how to calculate it in 2 easy steps:
Add the digits in your birth month if it has more than one number.
Now do the same for your day of birth. Then for your year of birth.
Add up the answers from all 3 results.
Example: Let's say you were born on June 4, 1976. You would add the month and day 6 (June) + 4 (day) = 10 (or 1+0=1.) Then the year (1+9+7+6=23. 2+3=5) Usually, we keep adding double digits together until we end up with a single digit. (Although, in special formulas, we leave a double digit alone if it is a Master Number: 11 or 22.)
Add up the total of the month and day (1) plus the total of the year (23=5.) So, add 6+4+5=15, (1+5=6) So, your Life Path Number is 6.

Meanings of Life Path #'s 1 Through 5

Brief Overview

Note: I have recently added a new section (below) that provides detailed characteristics and interpretations to all the Life Path Numbers.

  • #1: To achieve your progress in this life, you must learn to stand on your own two feet and achieve a sense of independence. It may not be easy during early on in life, but it does get easier as your soul learns and grows.

  • #2: It is essential for you to learn to cooperate and fit into group situations. You are tactful and diplomatic. You will be happier in a partnership, such as marriage, rather than being entirely on your own or not allowing others to help you.

  • #3: This is a positive number because it is the number of self-expression. It means you have a need/desire to communicate in an artistic way such as dancing, singing, writing or speaking. Though you sometimes lack motivation, with this number you will be learning all the way through life.

  • #4: This Life Path number is connected to those who need to work hard to achieve goals. Things are not just handed to you. You are well-organized and very capable, however you often tend to feel cornered and/or restricted in certain ways. 4 represents the number that always reaches their destination or goal, but with a lot of on-going effort.

  • #5: If you are a 5, you will be versatile and capable of almost everything you attempt. This is the number of variety and freedom which may make it difficult to work out what it is you really want to do in this life. You could be somewhat of a rolling stone and a jack-of-all-trades. It is the number of youth, which is an advantage to you because you will always be young at heart.

Meanings of Life Path #'s 6 Through 9

Brief Overview

  • #6: 6's are very in tune and partial to home and family. Your greatest happiness and satisfaction in life comes from the people closest to you. You may sometimes be responsible for more than your share but you will always be positive and ready to help those in need.

  • #7: Much wisdom and knowledge come with 7's. To most people, you are known to do things on a slightly different level. This can make you feel as if you're set apart from others at times. However, you will be growing and learning within and you will eventually gain a strong faith in life.

  • #8: 8 tends to be a stubborn and inflexible number but is an extremely fortunate number to have as your lucky one because it is the number of money. It strongly connects you with material needs but you are quite prepared and willing to work hard to achieve them. Once you have reached your goals with satisfaction, you are generous with your money. Before that time, it may be difficult for you to give out money too freely.

  • #9: You're a humanitarian at heart! You always want to help those in need. 9 is a very giving number and helping others gives you great satisfaction. You do need to remain aware of your own needs, though, so be cautious about others possibly taking advantage of your good nature and thoughtfulness.

    Master Numbers: 11 and 22

  • 11 is the first of the two Master Numbers. If you are an 11, you will be good at constructing ideas. However, 11's must be cautious about the practicality of the idea before setting it into motion. 11 is also the number of illusion and day-dreaming. It is wise to be sure that you actually do something rather than merely dream about it and what you want to do someday. Have confidence in yourself and remember that if you never really fail; as it was only a learning experience.

  • The second Master Number is 22. If this is your Life Path number, you can literally achieve any goal you set your sails upon. Always aim high, 22, for you could succeed on an international level. This number is able to take parts from all the other numbers and really make things happen. One downside to 11's and 22's is they are often associated with a certain amount of nervous tension. This nervous tension and energy mostly works against 11's and 22s' best interests in the early stages of life. We all know that our younger years can set a foundation and mind set for the future. But, the optimistic side is that numerology and basic life experience can allow us to learn how to control and redirect those energies in a positive way. I say "we" because I am a 22 and I know all too well about nervous tendencies. I'm still learning how to redirect my own!

Other Ways to Use Your Life Path Number

Master Number people can use their number any time he or she may need a single number. As explained above, simply add the two numbers to get to a single digit. 11 = 2 and 22 = 4. So when would you use the single digit? You may want to use the 2 or 4 as a lucky number for sweepstakes or an office pool. You can also use the multiples of it as well, as long as they are reducible to your main number of 2 or 4. Obviously, you could go on and on indefinitely if you wanted. You can go forward or backwards, too. For instance, a 22 can be used as an 11, 44, 88, etc. Even if you're not a Master Number, you can play with your number using basic math. If you need more than a single digit or if you need more than one number. A 5 Life Path person can use 55 or 5 x5 = 25 and 2 + 5 = 7, etc. Use your imagination and again, always use your intuition! What feels right usually is right!

    Finding Your Personal Year Number

This Number Will Also Be Needed for Finding Lucky Days & Months

Before discovering your lucky days, you need to work out your "Personal Year" number. This is very simple. Just add the day and month of your birth to the current year. Using the same birthday example I used above, June 4, 1976, here is what it looks like:

    Add 6 (June) + 4 (day) + 2009.
    This gives us 2019. 2+0+1+9 = 12. 1+2 = 3.
So, 3 would be your Personal Year Number.

Meanings of Personal Year #'s 1 Through 5

  • #1: This is a year filled with enthusiasm and energy. You will be wanting to get started on anything new. New projects and goals started within an number 1 year lasts for a long time.

  • #2: Any projects you may have begun in a number 1 year will be carried on throughout your number 2 Personal Year. It will consolidate a bit on the foundations made then and tweak the little things necessary. It is a great year for psychic development, for relationships with people and for all close relations, especially romantic ones.

  • #3: This is a year that may make you feel like not working too hard. You will feel like having a good time and enjoying yourself and life. It is a good year for making new friends, for learning about new interests and hobbies, social activities and creativeness.

  • #4: This year focuses on changes. In your number 3 year, you may not have felt like working but this year brings you the influence of wanting a challenge. You will feel like working slowly towards a goal, especially if you already have something in mind or began something in your number 3 year. It usually is a year of hard work but there is going to be something of great significance to show for it all.

  • #5: The number 5 Personal Year brings the urge for variety. It is a positive year for new interests, new friends, travel and for doing or trying things you may have always wanted to try. It is a good year for changing things such as a car, job, career or house.
  • Gandhi Says:

    Personal Year Meanings #%u2019s 6 Through 9

  • #6: This year's main influence is on home and family. It is a great year for getting married and if you are already in a good relationship, this year sees it develop further. People close to you tend to be a bit needy this year, so at times, you may not feel as if you are doing quite what you want to. However, it is usually a positive and happy year.

  • #7: You will seek peace and time on your own to ponder things. It is an excellent year for learning. You may have an urge to further your education in some way. It may almost feel like a year off and is non-materialistic. Although, this year is special because it is preparing you for a busy year ahead.

  • #8: This Personal year brings emphasis upon changes regarding money and finances. This is a good year for buying or selling anything. If you sell something, you will get a good price for it. If you buy, you will get a great deal. This is often a good year for luck and chances with money as far as playing the lottery and investments. On the other hand, take caution because this is also a year people try and collect money from you if you owe. You don't want to take too big of a risk on gambling away what should be paid out to debts.

  • #9: This is a year you will be aware of the cycle coming to a close. You will reflect back over the last few years and focus on the future. It is an ample time for making plans but a bad time to start them. Why? Because this is a year of endings rather than beginnings. It is most recommended to keep your good ideas in the thinking & planning stages and then begin carrying them out when you start on your new cycle next year (your personal #1 year.)
  • Do You Notice a Specific Number or Numbers Following You Throughout Life?

Many of Us Recognize Reoccurring Numbers

I t is important to always use your personal intuition when making any important decision. You don't have to be psychic or have any type of ESP abilities to do this. Just keep in mind what your personal "lucky numbers" are and also other numbers that seem to have followed you throughout life thus far. In other words, have you ever noticed a certain pattern, number sequence or specific number that always sticks out to you? For instance, you may have lived at several addresses or had different phone numbers that seem to have the same numbers but in different orders. i.e. 737 Sunny Lane and later moved to 7703 Kings Walk Drive in a 237 area code.

    digital clock time

Y ou may also notice you often seem to frequently glance at a digital clock at 7:37 or 2:37. You may give birth in hospital room # 377 Bed 2 or give birth at 2:33pm. Maybe it became your employee # or access code. Reoccurring numbers in which you actually notice a reoccurring pattern may be your lucky numbers; even if they don't coincide with your personal numerology formula results. They may be significant for other reasons. (Hey, why not play those numbers in the lottery?!)

    Personal Year Meanings for Master #'s 11 & 22

Master number Personal Years occur every now and then. They basically add power and energy to the #2 and #4 Personal Years. (11 = 2 and 22 = 4)
When they come about, make sure to get the most out of them because they will give you a good opportunity to take a giant step forward. The tendency of the Personal Year covers and influences the entire year. Each month adds its effect to the other months in that year as an entirety.

How to Reveal a Lucky Month Number

(You will need this number to calculate your Lucky Day Number, too.) If you want to figure out what influence a certain month will bring you, add the number of the month (Jan. = 1, Feb. = 2, etc.) to the number of your Personal Year. Then, add both answers. Here is an example, (again using the June 4, 1976 example)
    For July, 2009, I would add 7 + 6 =13, 1 + 3 = 4.

How to Reveal a Lucky Day Number

(You will need this number to calculate your Lucky Month Number, too.)
To calculate what an individual day will be like, add the digits in the day of the month (together if a double digit) and then add that number to your personal month number.
Here is an example for July 24, 2009. Using the Personal Month Number (which example above gave us the #4.)
    Add the digit(s) of the day 24 = 2 + 4 = 6
Add the Personal Month # for July (4)
    6 + 4 = 10 (1 + 0 = 1) So, the Lucky Day Number is 1.

Detailed Life Path Characteristics, Interpretation & Advice

The sections below will further explore each Life Path number in detail with a bit more input and recognition of the actual, major lesson needed to be learned. You will most likely relate to many distinctive personality traits of your Life Path number. You'll find I discuss both the negative and positive aspects. Use both to your advantage. Some things you may find don't make sense to you as an individual, but keep in mind that we don't always view ourselves as others may view us. It is hard for anyone to describe all aspects of their own personality because we are bias unto ourselves. It is a good idea to talk to your best friend or spouse and ask them, "Do you see this in me?" Or, "Do you think this is something I struggle with?" You may be surprised at what you learn and even more surprised when you recognize it. Utilize the information for a positive change for your own betterment, success and progression.

    Detailed Analysis for Life Path #'s 1 - 3

Detailed Life Path Characteristics and Interpretation

    • #1: KEYWORD: INDEPENDENCE. This person must learn the benefits of independence. The process, at first, is the need to learn to stand on his own and not be so dependent upon others. He can move on to become a leader or creator once that lesson is achieved. If and when it is, and he accepts and uses his talents, others will take notice and meaningful opportunities will arise. Much success can follow. This person has much inner strength and leadership capabilities. He has strong personal needs and desires and feels it is necessary to follow his own convictions. Some negative sides to the #1 L.P. is that this person tends to be a bit self-centered. It is often hidden by a social surface but can also, in some, be quite obvious to his peers. Some 1's lack a sense of balance and can be their own worst enemy due to being dominating and egotistical. They can easily go overboard with overconfidence which can make them impatient with others. That can lead to being unable to listen, take advise from and benefit from others' opinions.
They spend most of their lives shaking off their dependent side. They can be so consumed with those efforts that they have little time left to reap the reward of actually utilizing their independence. If and when a #1 can achieve the latter (achieving independence) they are much better for it. The #1 has much potential, especially using their creativity, to reach goals. (In this aspect, they have exactly what Master Numbers 11's and 22's need.)

    • #2: KEYWORD: COOPERATION. This person needs to learn the satisfaction of utilizing his capability as an organizer and facilitator in group functions. However, it is not uncommon for her to not receive full recognition for their contributions even though it is acknowledged by others. She must realize that her great ideas will often be better spread by others which have ore vigor than she possesses. Her use of quiet persuasion can accomplish as much as others' use of force. She can easily be the power behind the scenes. Part of her lesson is to become content with others getting credit for her ideas. That is a hard pill to swallow for many people, regardless of L.P. Number. She can gloat on her own in private and enjoy the inner satisfaction of knowing how well she performed this job or task. They have little concern with status or material needs so this can make it easier. 2's are pretty sensitive to the feelings of others and are often quite cooperative. They make wonderful friends for others and express and receive much friendship and love throughout this life. They rarely dominate situations and work with extreme patients and detail.
Some of the negative sides of 2's can include over sensitivity which can make her shy and uncertain. She may go into self protection mode to hide her delicate ego by appearing apathetic or indifferent. She sometimes refuses to accept a role she is asked to play. She is much more comfortable as a leader than a only a peer of a group. 2's do make decent leaders, but they often lack dynamics in their personality which can alter their leadership skills. They tend to add confusion to a situation rather than harmony. Part of the lesson in that aspect is to recognize and understand why it happens because they often do not. It is quite common for her to blame others instead of herself or her actions.
The main lesson for a #2 revolves around balance and control of her sensitivity. She should find a comfortable path as to where she is not likely to be constantly left with hurt feelings. She needs to use her sensitivity (and often does or eventually will) to be a great friend, lover or diplomat because she has great potential in the highest sense of these areas for success. She needs to learn how to deal with the insensitivities of others without feeling overwhelmed.

    • #3: KEYWORDS: JOY OF LIVING, EXPRESSION. The #3 must learn the joy of expressing himself. He is likely to be admired by many if he can harness being warm and open. 3's should become aware of his special talents. Most 3's possess great imagination and have artistic abilities just waiting to be developed and expressed. Most 3's can excel in creative work such as sculpting, music or painting. Also, his verbal artistic side will be highly recognized through acting, singing, speaking or writing. He can easily portray the beauty of his personal experiences through such work. His highest level of attainment in this lesson for him is creative self-expression.
3's need to be motivated to use their creative imagination or it may remain dormant. He knows he has the talent and skills but may lack the confidence that others will appreciate his work. 3's also make good conversation and are rarely boring to listen to them speak. They have a knack for being good listeners, too. The 3 is friendly, warm and very social beings. They know how to make others feel comfortable and at home. Some negative bits of the #3 is that he tends to scatter his abilities and express little sense of purpose. He may be so elated simply by the joy of living that his life can become frivolous and superficial. If the 3 has difficulty developing or utilizing his inborn talents, he may retreat into himself. He may become uneasy in social situations and may prefer to hide his feelings rather than express them. If and when this happens, others may view him as moody or aloof. 3's can also become quite critical and demeaning of others if he is or has been hurt by them.
Most 3's approach life with an exceedingly positive disposition. He often handles problems with much more ease than others. He accepts that problems can and will always arise but deals with them without allowing himself to be dragged in to the despair and drama. He has the inborn talent to work through obstacles while still remaining friendly and warm. He does deal with problems seriously when necessary, but without bitterness. However, 3's are known to mature a bit later than others. His moody side, when apparent, may be difficult to shake off. He can be a bit frivolous, too, but is still viewed as an amateur by others. The 3 lives life on a lighter track than most other numbers. He can greatly benefit if he accepts a little help from others and learning to express his positive potentials he was born with.

Detailed Analysis for Life Path #'s 4-6

Detailed Life Path Characteristics and Interpretation

    • #4: KEYWORDS: LIMITATION, ORDER. The #4 L.P. person is here to learn the advantages of order and systems for accomplishing her work. She must also learn the rewards of service. Most 4's veer towards down-to-earth, practical work. She needs to proceed with hard work given to her at the time using patients and to be dependable. She needs to learn and how to live with limitation. She will most likely be aware of her limitations during this life. Limitations regarding her physical body, the her environment and her personal viewpoints. She may feel that circumstances limit her more than others. Learning how to live in harmony with the limitations instead of spiting them is important. She must grasp how to accept certain restrictions rather than struggle with them; especially ones she cannot change. With that knowledge and conquer, she can create a deep, blissful path and further progress onward with much more ease.
4's are very practical and great at managing and obtaining order where others have failed. They have a great willingness to work hard and often take a eccentric approach to projects. 4's are honest, responsible and sincere. They do have strong likes and dislikes and can be very aggressive when expressing what they consider to be right or wrong. The 4 rarely notice their stubbornness and rigidness but others usually do.
4's need to work on the frequent feeling of being overwhelmed, frustrated and tied down. She needs to realize that her stubborn manners can cause her own problems. She may unknowingly be limiting herself by concentrating too much on details and missing the bigger picture; which can limit her potential. She should take note when she becomes too bossy and dominant. Another negative side of the 4 is to the opposite extreme regarding organization and responsibility. If she feels too overwhelmed and/or frustrated, she will head in the opposite direction and become disorganized and irresponsible. She will lack a sense of time which will further frustrate her.
4's have a difficult lesson that is hard for any L.P. number to achieve. Learning to live with limitations can be frustrating for anyone and as humans, we tend to fight the restrictions rather than accept them. However, the 4 tends to feel the sense of limitation frustration a bit harder than others. What feels limiting to a 4 may not appear the same for outside observers. Once the 4 can overcome these feelings or at least get a decent handle on them, she is on the way to much success, contentment and growth.

    • #5: KEYWORD: CONSTRUCTIVE FREEDOM. 5's biggest challenge is learning constructive use of freedom. There is much unforeseen adventure, unusual happenings, change, variety and exciting opportunities for this person. The 5 will learn that he is capable at almost any project or goal and that he is quite talented in several areas. However, this is the most probable dilemma for the 5 because there is so much to choose from, so many directions he can go that he may become confused or start too many things at once. He needs to learn how to choose experiences which will be most beneficial and nix the things that are not working for him. He needs to learn how not to waste his time or scatter his forces in too many directions. He is also likely to get too caught up in physical delights such as sex, drugs, drinking and food. The 5 is a bit of a rolling stone and finds that to be fun. However, the may eventually become overwhelmed and frustrated from moving from place to place, from opportunity to opportunity and from person to person.
5's can do many things with superior talent due to their versatility and active nature. They are clever and possess an inborn ability to accomplish what they seek. They are quick thinkers and have a great ability to analyze people and situations. They can be impatient, restless and have trouble sticking to a task. They move from task to task without finishing the last one due to sheer boredom and long to try something new. They love change, seeing unusual places and people, travel and experiencing exciting adventures. They are not content with routine tasks. They possess eternal youth and that excitement for life keeps him young. They make great companions for others with similar personality traits. As long as the companion can keep up with his constant need for travel and change, that would be an ideal relationship.
The 5 L.P. person can become frustrated with himself at times because of the strong desire to constantly try new things. But, the high level of excitement of each new adventure keeps him going. Some 5's are known to be hesitant about using his freedom. He may retreat into a safe type of situation such as a 9 to 5 job and a stable family life. However, the changes and uncertainties will follow him and he may not convey the competence to handle them.
Once the 5 can grasp this lesson (which usually happens in the latter period of his life) he can enjoy freedom liberally and without much remorse. Without significant effort on his part, he may look back upon time wasted and realize how little he actually accomplished. With such an advantage for opportunities and abilities, it would be a shame to allow such inborn talents to go dormant. Much joy and excitement awaits the 5 when he can attune to the major lesson of his Life Path.

    • #6: KEYWORDS: RESPONSIBILITY, LOVE, BALANCE. The #6 L.P. person is born with the innate ability to offer help and comfort whoever she is needed. She lends support to those too weak to support themselves. Others are attracted to her kindness and capabilities, therefore often seek her help. She can find herself holding responsibilities for much more than her fair share, though. She must be willing to provide friendship and love and if she does, she receives much of the same in return. Although, she does need to learn and recognize the difference between helping and interfering. The 6 seeks out the closeness of marriage but may have to work hard far more harder than originally thought in order to achieve the healthy balance necessary. She has the ability to harmonize and to create balance and may express it in creative ways such as music, writing and art.
The 6 is sympathetic, kind and generous with her material and personal resources. She usually loves kids and can make an excellent teacher. She usually focuses much of her life towards friends, relatives and family. She is very responsible and will often pick up the burden from others. Some of the negative aspects of the 6 L.P. person include becoming overwhelmed by too much responsibility and can become a doormat for others if not cautious. She tends to confuse responsibility with domination regarding a situation at hand. She can frustrate herself and others by being too exacting (of herself and others) and may become over critical and fussy. A bit more uncommon but still a trait seen in 6's are those who abandon a responsibility which will make her feel tense and possess feelings of much guilt.
One of the major lessons the 6 must learn is how not to be taken advantage of without awareness. Usually, during some period of her life, she will realize this has or is happening and grow tired of the burden. This can be a good thing for her because it will force her to reevaluate how much responsibility she chooses to assume in the future. She will also learn to decipher between those coming to her because they are too weak to take care of themselves and those leaning on him out of habit. She may also have to learn to temper her personal expectations due to being so exacting of herself. She needs to learn to express her own individuality despite of the possible heavy burdens she may carry.

Detailed Analysis for Life Path #'s 7-9

Detailed Life Path Characteristics and Interpretation

    • #7: KEYWORDS: ANALYSIS, UNDERSTANDING. As the L.P. #7 person gets to really know himself, he must learn the peace of mind that comes along with it. He has good intuition and a decent mind. He needs to study and contemplate instead of judging the book by the cover. He should learn to trust his intuition and spend much time analyzing the world around him. The more he does this, the higher level of wisdom he gains. Another goal for the 7 is to be aware of the non-material forces and not spend enormous amounts of time on the material things in his life. Feeling isolated is also something he must come to grips with. Learning to be content with spending time by himself is a big plus. He may not realize that he doesn't need to constantly seek out opportunities. He should learn to wait for the ones that will work in his favor . Though life around him is seemingly moving fast and furiously, his personal growth depends on his ability to be able to retreat within himself. In that place, he will find faith and peace.
7's are often hard to get to know. He is self protected and offers little about himself to others. Sometimes he has trouble even understanding himself. He is known to operate on a different wavelength than others with access to unique solutions and approaches. He is very self-dependent and is leery of trusting others. Yet, he doesn't ask or expect others to trust him. He does things his own way and is not too adaptable, especially in others' approaches to situations. Being different in methodology and view points, he has difficulty seeing the advantages of others' ways of acting and thinking. A negative aspect of the #7 is often reclusive and self-centered. If he continues or quite often lacks making contact with others, it will make it more and more difficult for him to grow and develop. The occasional 7 will find a path too difficult and try to ignore his own character and live in a materialistic world. He then lacks the ability to tune into his inner resources. Because of this, he will find that little is working for him. That can be a positive conclusion for him to come to because if he can move onto his track, his life will begin to have better meaning for him.
The #7 person will have great satisfaction working as a teacher, researcher or counselor or any other job which he can utilize his mind, spiritual awareness and intuition without stressing material benefits.

    • #8: KEYWORD: MATERIAL SATISFACTION. The ambitious and self-confident #8 must learn the satisfactions of the material world and the power which comes with obtaining its mastery. She will most likely work in a down to earth, practical type position. She will want to use her ambitions, efficient approaches and her organizational abilities to build a satisfying niche for herself. During this life, she will learn the power that comes with and is involved with money and its proper management. She is concerned with her own status and how it stacks up to others'. With proper development, she will learn to achieve the power she so desires.
The 8 is good at judging character and is well aware of theirs and their relations to her goals. Being realistic and practical, she often doesn't fool herself with fantasies and daydreams. She is born with capabilities to take charge, inspire others and giving direction. She is a good organizer and is a dependable person. A negative side to the #8 involves her pursuit of money goals, power and status. She expresses such intensity and single-mindedness that though she may achieve the goals, she will find little pleasure in the journey. She may misuse her power and become intolerant of others. This can lead to hostility, discontent feelings and resentment. On the other hand, some 8's will be afraid to take certain risks involved in asserting herself even though she has a strong desire for achievement and money. She can feel limited and dissatisfied, therefore, she should strive to reach a higher level of self-confidence before she can make her presence known.
It is not difficult for the 8 to lose her way when distracted. She often sees the big picture but misses the smaller, yet very important details involved. It is a bit like seeing the glacier ahead but not noticing the blocks of ice in the path and surrounding the glacier. She must realize the need to tame her strong desire for material possessions, money and power in order to see that these are not ends in themselves but only the means to the ends. Her goal, plainly stated, is realizing and enjoying the satisfaction that can come with material power and freedom. Very often, the 8 misses this lesson. If she does achieve the material freedom she longs for but it does not provide her with the pleasure and happiness, she has not mastered her major lesson. Also, if her power is misused after achieving her financial and status goals, it means she is off path. She needs to learn the importance of proportion and maintain that. Once she is able to conquer these lessons and always keep them in mind, she will continue on her path, continue to develop and grow in the right direction.

    • #9: KEYWORDS: SELFLESSNESS, HUMANITARIANISM. The #9 L.P. person needs to learn the joy of giving of himself for the right reasons; the pure satisfaction of giving without thoughts or expectations of reward or reciprocal actions. He does have an instinctive love of his fellow man but needs to express his feelings with purity and humanitarian reasons alone. The 9's greatest challenge on this lesson path is handling the lack of return for his goodness and giving. If he continues to seek more and/or has ulterior motives for his actions of kindness and generosity, there will be no personal satisfaction as a result. Even worse for the 9 will be little or no reward at all. The #9 does give to friends, a spouse or significant other as a teacher, guide or helper of sorts. He longs to give to others in regards to and from a creative manner. It is only with the purest of intent will the 9 find his way along this path.
The 9 is a romantic and loves with passion. He can be hurt by others whose response to his expressions is not what he expected. He is sensitive and views the world with great feeling and compassion. He possesses a natural interest in others and is usually very social, sympathetic and open-minded. He is idealistic but sometimes tempered with a more practical side. He is frequently disappointed when it comes to the general lack of perfection in the world. His creative abilities spawn a large amount of imagination and compliments his talents. He does need to learn how to find an outlet for his personal expression.
He needs to learn that selflessness and lack of personal ambition can be satisfying at times. Since he possesses so much desire for material rewards, he may miss the whole experience of the pleasure involved from obtaining them. In that sense, he needs to stop and smell the flowers along the way. He tends to spend too much time dreaming and spreading himself and tasks in several directions at once. He needs to look back at such experiences and take note of the satisfaction level he gained or didn't gain from them.
The #9 is very capable of achieving as much as anyone else with regards to his status, recognition and rewards of friendship and love. He receives the wonderful things of life in a satisfying way mostly as he expresses his own selflessness and awareness of others. Again, this is a difficult lesson for the 9 to conquer. Thus, making it a "major life lesson." He should try hard to inherit a deep recognition of the wise mottos regarding karma and giving. When one gives with purity and magnanimity, one will receive it back in abundance; especially when unexpected and just when it is needed the most. The universe works in wonderful ways like that. He needs to stop searching for love, friendship, kudos and rewards and concentrate on giving them out. Once the 9 achieves this, he will continue on his personal life path with more satisfaction and happiness than he can ever imagine.

Detailed Analysis for Life Path MASTER NUMERS 11 and 22

Detailed Life Path Characteristics and Interpretation

    • #11: KEYWORD: ILLUMINATION. The #11 L.P. person is a Master Number. She must learn the awareness of the spiritual world and how it relates to the material world. She has inborn, higher level perceptions and different capabilities of understanding than #'1 through #9's.The perceptions she possesses take a lot of effort to develop, however, once that is achieved, she is capable of far more ability and accomplishment than most others. It is important for the 11 to trust and develop her own intuition to successfully tune in to forces beyond the physical realm. She can do quite well if she involves herself with psychic, metaphysical or occult studies. If and when she recognizes herself as a channel for awareness and higher vibrations, she can inspire others with the inborn gifts, too. Even if the 11 individual decides not to pursue or develop her abilities, she will become aware of the special knowledge given to her at some point in this life. If she chooses to utilize these gifts, it is important for her to share her illumination for the benefit of others.
The 11 is an idealist and has visions of a perfect world. She can easily make herself unhappy when obsessing for constant perfection; regarding herself or others'. She is also impractical although, she will still function well. But, there will be an impractical side brought to surface by her occasional difficulty in separating fantasy from reality. The may make it difficulat for her to reach certain goals. She tends to be a dreamer more than a doer. She can visualize the accomplishment she longs for but can't always make it happen due to lack of trust, fear of failure or effort on her part. She needs to believe and know that she is capable of whatever work she chooses to pursue and can and will often rise to the top of her profession.
She has a gift for inspiring others but in a quiet manner. Others whom recognize this in her can stand to gain much benefit from her lead.
As with the Master Number 22, the 11 L.P. person possesses much nervous tension. Her special awareness and capabilities go hand in hand with tension. Others often take note of her obvious nervous tension but the 11 can often keep it hidden with a coating of strength. The 11 may use her special powers for her own needs and that can be another negative aspect about her. Despite her accomplishments, she can feel uneasy and dissatisfied, thus having missed the powerful lesson she should have or should be learning in the process.
In a nutshell, the 11 is special but, as with the other Master Number 22 L.P. person, she will rarely reach anywhere near her potential. Because she may not even understand much about the spiritual world, she may simply operate on an intuitive level. This is so her relation with anything but the material world is not particularly clear to her.
The 11 often has trouble handling her special awarenesses. She can see and know the huge potential of power upon her but may be unable to utilize the power in the appropriate and most beneficial direction, if at all. Her nervous tension can also make her difficult to live with others. She is so aware and sensitive to other vibrations that ordinary living arrangements may provoke pressures which #'s1 through 9's most likely never feel.
It commonly takes an 11 a long time to get on the right path. She can be hard to deal with when she is searching for direction. She expresses her discomfort and uneasiness of having such power with bouts of out of control temper attacks. It is understandable, as it is hard to realize how much she has and what to do with it.

    • Master #22: KEYWORDS: MASTER BUILDER, SPIRITUALLY GIFTED. The 22 Master L.P. person has been given unimaginable powers of spiritual awareness. He must learn the ultimate mastery of marrying the highest of ideals with the enormous power to achieve the largest of material goals. Like the #11 L.P. person, he has added perceptions, awarenesses, and different capabilities of understanding. However, the 22 is born with a higher sensitivity and is more in tune with other realms. He also has the ability to attain anything in regards to material accomplishments. One of his most difficult of lessons he must learn is though his ultimate powers are present, he needs to harness how to focus his large gifts into productive and beneficial use. In order to achieve his own ultimate growth, he must work for the benefit of mankind. He is very capable of achieving the largest magnitude of undertakings concerning areas such as commercial or political forces. The 22's growth and development highly depend on his ability to accept his awesome potential and inborn powers.
Using his powers for only his personal, selfish use can be a negative aspect for the 22. He may accomplish is goals but he will learn little of his ultimate lesson in the process. Since he is so in tune, he will be aware of when he is not using his talents wisely and may feel incapable of heading In a more meaningful direction. On occasion, a 22 can become overwhelmed by his powers and refrain from them all together. If he feels frightened by the world around him and/or his large quantity of powers, he may not accomplish all he is capable of. This will make him even more uncomfortable with his already present nervous tension than he has to be.
With all his inborn gifts and abilities, one could easily assume the 22 will rise to all challenges, goals and accomplishments he seeks to achieve. Unfortunately, it is often not so. He will most likely not accomplish anything or anywhere near what his potential allows. The 22 is living this life in process of trying to handle the great forces which often feel too powerful to handle. He Is trying to live with the tension which accompanies those forces. The latent power the 22 has is obvious to others and people may tisk with wonder of why he didn't or doesn't do more with his potent energies. Along some of the same lines as the Master L.P. #11, he will often be difficult to live with or deal with because he is so aware, so perceptive and often so frustrated at not being able to put all the pieces together. If and when the 22 harnesses his potential (which is usually later in life) he can achieve much more than he did in his younger years. The 22 is the most aware, capable, attuned to the highest levels, and hopefully, dedicated to the service of humanity. He possesses the most extreme, inborn, spiritual insight and if he chooses to utilize them well, it will be well worth the effort to reach the ultimate dream he strives to live.
