Toy Patterns

There are lots of fun and easy to make toys for your Toddlers.

Animal Stuffed Toys made from Fleece Fabric

Toys made from fleece fabric are soft and cuddly. Fleece is a great fabric to use specially for beginners. Even if you can't make a a perfect sewing line, when you turn the toy right sides out, it will still look great! There are many kinds of Fleece fabric. There are Polar Fleece, Microfiber, Faux Sherpa, Berber, Wind Blocking, Performance, Coral Fleece to name a few.

Platypus

Platypus made from Quilting Fabrics

Quilting materials are non stretchy materials like cotton, batik, muslin and flannel. Non-stretch fabric can be a little more troublesome to work with since the fabric is not so forgiving! You'll want to be extra precise and trim / clip your seams to make sure they turn nicely and your toy looks well-crafted!

Toys made of quilting fabric patterns probably are not as cuddly as those made of fleece yet these toys typically look much brighter and livelier simply because of the more varied prints to be found in these fabrics.

Stuffed toy made from Felt Fabric

Felt is definitely a great fabric for toys. It really is perfect for young sewers or beginners as it makes beautiful hand-sewn toys. It does not fray so it may be sewn by using a simple blanket stitch or running stitch which even the newest sewer can master very quickly! Felt also has a lovely cozy feel to it, and organic wool felt is great for baby toys as it is extremely durable.

Crochet Mario Brothers Plushie

Knitted and Crochet Toy Patterns (?)

Knitted and Crochet toys are made from thread or yarn. Some people think that they are just the same. But do you know that there is a difference between Knitting and Crochet?

According to Wikipedia, most crochet only uses one hook. The hook sizes depends on how thick the yarn you're going to use. The thicker the yarn the thicker the crochet hook you will need.

Knitting uses 2 or more straight needles and also uses specialized needles to make circular rounds.

Knitting and crochet are also known as Amigurumi. Amigurumi is a Japanese word which means "crochet or knitted toy". These toys are mostly animals and they are really really really cute!!!
