Easily make soap that softens and soothes, exfoliates, or is just plain luxuriating, first melt the base, add your jojoba oil, coconut oil, or clay ingredients, then add your fragrance or essential oils last. Stir after melting the base, add ingredients, stir again, pour into the mold, cool and use. ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I OWN WITH THE EASIEST RECIPES IS THE SOAPMAKING THE NATURAL WAY BOOK BELOW.

Whats the difference between essential oil and fragrance oil ?

Essential oils

With the production of essential oils, plants are crushed and chopped, then heated with steam to force the oils to vaporize. The essential oil is condensed from the steam. Just a small amount of oil is captured from the steam but the fragrance is very strong. PEOPLE WITH SENSATIVE SKIN SHOULD USE CAUTION !!

Fragrance oils are produced synthetically and are much less expensive. They are blended oils and not derived from plants. READ THE LABELS CAREFULLY AS FRAGRANCE OILS BLENDED WITH ALCOHOL CAN HAVE A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON YOUR MELT AND POUR SOAP SCENT. A good quality fragrance oil are a good choice for bath salts, scented powders, salt scrubs and other spa products

ALWAYS DILUTE YOUR ESSENTIAL OILS WITH A CARRIER OIL AS FULL STRENGTH MAY IRRITATE SOME SKIN TYPES.

Perfect for beginners - recipes with kaolin clay, ground lavender flowers, seaweed, and much more !!!

Make sure you completely blend your recipes.

Under blended recipes can cause dead (unscented) spots in your soap. To make sure this doesn't happen, I use a stick blender in all my soap making properties. They are inexpensive and I have one JUST FOR SOAPMAKING.
