Simpsons Movie

Well actually it took two years for the eleven Simpsons writers to complete the script and the producers to finish the film.

Along the way they had to learn many arts of the film genre. Creating suspense through a build up to climax and other cinemtaic devices were studied and applied to the Simpsons recipe. The resulting movie may be filled with a few more drawn out scenes than the average Simpson's viewer might be used to.

There is some rather Pythonesque humour included in the film. Rolling captions referring to the fox network and a fake ending are their to amuse.

The best laugh has to be the scene which reveals more of Bart than we have ever seen before!

The movie's main theme follows a growing rift between Homer and the rest of his family, particularly Bart. By the end of the movie Homer has reconciled with his family but not before the entire town of Springfield has also grown to despise him.
