I never knew it was possible for me to sing high notes without straining!

Singing can be very nerve wrecking especially if you're worried about hitting certain notes. Most singers fail to realize how easy and smooth your sound can be with the proper techniques.

You will actually be in shock by how awesome you'll sound after a nice warm up. To learn more about singing without straining you need the Essential Singing Guide!

Correct Breathing To sing high notes without straining

Proper breathing is the most important part of singing...

Do you freeze up and get tense every time that high note is coming up in a song?

Well that's one of the main reasons the high note can sound so strained. Don't worry, once you learn how to relax and breathe correctly you'll have nothing to worry about. Not only will you not strain, you'll have a better chance on singing the right pitch.

Breathing Tip: Lay on your back and inhale, once you inhale your diaphragm should expand. Then exhale, after you exhale your diaphragm should be back to normal. Practice this to have the correct breathing while you sing.

Don't Scream!! Sing High Notes Without Straining

I know you want to push to get higher but just relax...

When we get to those high notes some singers tend to force them out so hard it sounds like a painful straining scream.

In order to avoid that you must learn to RELAX RELAX RELAX those vocal chords and open them up. You do this with vocal warm ups and excercises.

A good technique I use to open the vocal chords is to relax my tongue on the bottom row of my teeth, trust me it really works!! Click Here to learn all the techniques I know!

Is It Healthier to Sing High Notes Without Straining?

Vocal strain can leave you in pain...

Yes, it is always healthy to sing correctly.
In fact, the health of your vocal chords is in jeopardy every time you strain or even scream. You could suffer from painful vocal nodules, to even loosing your voice permanently and no singer wants that.

Your voice is your instrument and its very important to take solid care of your instrument!!!

To keep my instrument working I stay hydrated with plenty of room temperature water I always drink mint tea or throat coat with plenty of honey no lemon. (Lemons dries out the throat.) And I like to suck on a ricola cough drop to moisten my vocals before singing!
