"Do you really want to know the truth about your weight problems?"

From The Desk Of: www.PhysiqueMakeover.com

These days what everyone truly desire is the confidence and attitude of being and feeling attractive. Attractive now apparently is six pack abs or a size six dress. Whether its in Magazines, Television, Movies or advertisements, whatever the season the verdict is out.

"SLIM IS ALWAYS IN ! "

So how can you not feel bad about yourself, I'm sure you've tried everything from weight loss pills, designer diets that leave you short of starving yourself, expensive gym memberships that only help make your wallet get thinner. And what happens when you don't get the results you want?

You give up and try something else on the market. Then when that doesn't work you try another product. Then another and another until you end up going through the same dehumanizing cycle over and over again until you finally quit. You end up questioning yourself and start thinking you're the problem.

It's not your fault! Don't be too hard on yourself. The weight loss industry is well known for making it a business to convince their consumers to blame themselves and not their products when they don't get results. This keeps the industry going by providing even more "solutions " for you to consume. Their only aim is to get richer but not for you to get any thinner.

Here's the deal. For many years of our lives, we've been battling with obesity and have always tried out the latest weight loss solutions available out there. But as usual, all the diets, pills, gadgets and exercise options out there left us with the same body shape every single time. And not the mention, burnt a hole in our pockets.

So we figured it's time we put a stop to that once and for all! We brainstormed for months on end basing from our years of trial and error, thinking of a foolproof system any frustrated exerciser/dieter can get substantial results from...

What Is Your Desire To Lose Weight?

From The Desk Of: www.PhysiqueMakeover.com

It's a popular saying "When there is a will there is always a way". The saying emphasizes on the fact that it is only desire to achieve something that leads to the destination. So, the desire is the starting point of success at any ambition, especially weight loss. An honest desire is necessary to reach the end of the mission. If your desire is not strong enough then there are certain chances of your quitting the mission before achieving the goal. A strong desire can be simplified as determination. A genuine desire implies a focused attitude to reach the destination. A weakened desire would lead to fallout.
A genuine desire means your conscious and subconscious mind should want the same thing. Like you want to reduce weight but still you are ordering a rich calorific and fatty diet, knowing its effects. This means there is a conflict between the conscious and the sub-conscious, desires. It means there is a difference between what you say and what you do and what you want. What you do and ask for, are the conscious desire and what you want (weight reduction) is a sub-conscious desire. So, the desire of weight loss is not honest and genuine.

Sometimes, there is difference in the external and internal motivation. For example, you yourself is not motivated enough to loose weight but some members in your family say that you should reduce to look more attractive, for example your husband . So, here you are externally motivated but internally you lack the driving force. This situation does not help much to achieve goal. Internal motivation is a prerequisite to loose weight.

Sometimes you decide to reduce weight to compete with the culture and society you live in but otherwise you don't have problems with your weight. Whenever, you come across slim and seductive figures in television, magazines, society etc you feel like loosing weight. So, the kind of driving force doesn't last longer to reach the goal. It's so because there is still some satisfaction prevailing within you even being plump. Here society culture, magazines, television etc are acting as external motivators and it is hard to stay on your path in the absence of these external motivators.

On the other hand the internal motivation is the one where you start visualizing and dreaming of the look and physique you want to achieve. When you crave within to materialize what you visualize. For example when you think if I loose weight I can improve my looks, health , fitness and ultimately the quality of life. The crux of the discussion is that you are self-driven rather than externally driven.

It is important for you make sure, what you say is what you really want to achieve. The best way is to question yourself "Do I really want to reduce weight" if the answer is "yes", then only you should start the program of weight reduction otherwise it is simply wasting efforts on something unachievable.

Yoga For Weight Loss? You Must Be Kidding Me!

Yoga has become the exercise of choice for a growing number of female fitness enthusiasts. Does it live up to its hype?

From The Desk Of: www.PhysiqueMakeover.com

Yoga seems to be all the rage in women's fitness circles. Yoga centers have sprouted all around us and women are flocking to them in droves, believing it to be the best way for them to 'tone' up and lose weight. Marketed as a female-oriented exercise, yoga has become the alternative to women who are averse to weight training.

Fallacies surrounding weight training and the misconception that it is 'male domain', combined with socio-cultural conditioning of women taught to fear bulky-looking muscles, have boosted the prestige of yoga as the exercise of choice for women.

Well ladies, you have been conned! Yoga can't even begin to compare to physiological benefits that weight-training and cardiovascular exercises have to offer, neither in terms of calorie expenditure, metabolic expenditure nor in terms of body composition goals.

Majority of the women I have trained over the years have expressed similar goals when asked what they want out of a training programme. Fat loss is by far the number one priority, followed by a desire for a lean and hard physique. Apart form an improvement in appearance, many women also want increased strength as well as better posture and increased bone density.

The campaign geared towards preventing osteoporosis has fostered greater awareness amongst women of the importance of maintaining strong and healthy bones in their youth. However, many women are not informed enough to choose exercises that are oriented towards helping them achieve their lofty fitness goals.

Yoga, unfortunately, falls short in its actual ability to achieve the aforementioned fitness goals.
In order to lose weight, one has to increase calorie expenditure as much as possible and as such, exercises that expend the most amounts of calories are often sought out. Yoga cannot possibly compare with the benefits of aerobic training when one considers the factor of calorie expenditure.

Moreover, fat loss requires more than the expenditure of calories within a certain time frame. It also requires you to burn more calories throughout the day and weight-training helps you achieve this. An increase in lean muscle mass from weight training enables you to burn more calories on a daily basis as muscle is metabolically active and hence, consumes more calories to maintain itself.

Yoga offers minimal resistance training and is not intense enough to effect substantial changes in your body's metabolic systems in order to turn you into a fat-incinerating machine. It does not offer the progressive increase in resistance that is needed in order to build and maintain strong bones.

Progressive overload forces the body to adapt to increased strain it faces, creating stronger bones and muscles.

Weight training and cardio work trumps yoga in every aspect related to weight loss. Opt for an exercise programme that incorporates resistance training and cardio training as its main elements. You can throw in a couple of sessions of Yoga a week in order to increase overall activity, but it should not be the cornerstone of any fitness regime that has fat loss as a serious goal.

Unveil Your Inner Potential

From The Desk Of: www.PhysiqueMakeover.com

This article is dedicated to the people who want to change their lives by loosing a few pounds, people who want to look better and always wanted to live their lives that they always dreamed of. This article is about achieving the health and fitness goals. You can say it as the key of success of any goal of your life.

The most difficult thing in starting the exercising programs is fear. To solve the problem of fear you have to fight with yourself to come over it. After talking to many people I have come to a conclusion that most of the people choose training centers or gym because they are scheduled with a trainer to exercise. It's ok but not sufficient as trainer is not there for you for the 24 hours. You can't be so dependent on others. You can only get result by unleashing the power within you.

You've to find your motivation by yourself. You 've to make sure what do you want and why do you want that. The reason is itself a motivation. The main thing is when people have force from inside; they become more powerful than thing can stop them by reaching their goals. This force makes people more motivated. It can make happy people happier and motivated people more motivated.

It's a kind of emotional force that makes rich people richer and the poor to get poorer. Anybody who looses weight or improved fitness is just because of the internal emotional force that leads him to do so.

Some people start exercising or taking balanced diet having some serious problem. But why should we wait for such things to happen, why we should not try for something they can save us from getting a hard time. You can do it and really you can if you decide it by heart. For this, you just have to do few things. And the most important of them all is stop the way you are living, in place of that think about how do you ever wanted to live. Make a list that you will not tolerate or accept any longer.

Make a personal vision statement. Set objectives for yourself. Start taking right decisions for yourself. Follow your standards. Decide correctly about your exercising routine and be consistent on it.
Don't underestimate yourself that you can't, think that you can and then you see you will. What we think is what we do. Everything happens in our unconscious mind. Our belief is our commands, which tell us what to do or what not to. These commands tell us what we can and what we can't. They make us do right or wrong.

The main keyword is determination. If you're determined to do something, believe in yourself. Tell yourself that you have to do this and really you can. There is nothing like impossible. Have faith in yourself. And this time you can make it. This emotional power will help you achieve the target and to accomplish the resources that you really need, it wasn't possible because there was lack of motivation and emotional power.
