Be A Karaoke Superstar!

Do you love to sing? Do you love the rush you get when you're in front of an audience? Do your friends love to hear you? If your answers were yes, yes, no. Then you need to learn to sing. Learning to sing with proper vocal technique is a fun process that will make those nights at the karaoke bar a blast. Your friends will be amazed at your improvement when you learn just a few simple singing techniques. You do not have to sit and watch others sing you can sing yourself!

Sweat the Small Stuff

Singing is simple. You only have to master a few simple skills. Mastering these vocal techniques will transform your voice. Every time you take the stage you (and your audience) will have nothing to fear. These few techniques will give you a stronger, powerful voice. You will find that these techniques fix most of the most common vocal problems. Imagine singing long phrases. Singing high notes. No more breaking. No more reaching the end of the phrase only to find you are out of breath. No more pitch issues. Paying close attention to the way we sing is how we improve our voices. Music is one of life's greatest joys. Learn how to do it correctly.

Feed the Fire!

If you don't put gas in your car it won't go. And the same can be said of your voices. If you starve the voice of air you will never sing your best. Never skimp on breath. Unlike the gas in your car, air is free, so make good use of it. Keep the gas tank full. Breathe!

Listen To Your Mother

Singing with a flexible, upright posture is a key to singing properly. When you sing while being slumped over you create more vocal problems then I care to list and you care to read. You don't need to know the specific issues that it creates. It's enough to know that standing properly is the cure for many problems. Try to stand so your head floats on top of your shoulders. A good way to picture this is to imagine a string running out if the top of your head. Imagine that the string is being pulled upward gently; bringing you into a relaxed upright posture. A good way to find the proper posture is to stand with your back against the wall. This should be close to the proper posture. The key thing is to be aware that posture has a profound effect on the voice. If you're having a problem it could be grounded in poor posture. Your mother was right. Don't slouch!

I'm too embarrassed to sign in public. It would help a lot if I could carry a tune.
