I was given this book as a gift for my birthday. It really is one of the best books on crochet stitches I have received. It is probably best for those who already know how to crochet and read a pattern. For inspiration though, it can't be beat. It even has a bit of the history of crochet in the beginning of the book with photos of vintage crochet items.

I think that I love your crochet hook. I had one like that one years ago and when it broke it almost broke my heart as well. Lol.

Vanna's choice is an acrylic yarn that is not too expensive neither is it to scratchy or plastic feeling. It is soft enough for scarves and hats and if you choose her yarns you will be sure to find colors to complement each other. All of Vanna's yarns were made to coordinate well - she also has a brand of softer colors for babies.
