The group is said to have both the physical charms as well as dance and vocal capabilities. SISTAR aims to create a new cultural code and be the style icons for those in their teens and twenties. The group consists of four members, they are are Dasom, Bora, So Yu and Hyo Rin.

Under the management of Starship Entertainment, On June 3, SISTAR released their debut single "Push Push" . On August 25, they released their second single "Shady Girl" featuring Super Junior's Heechul and followed up with "How Dare You" on November 29 of 2010.
