Site Build It! or WordPress?

What do you think is the best way to build a successful business website?

In this case, I am defining successful as being effective in getting business and generating revenue.

To be successful, a business must be profitable. While it can feel good to do what you love, you won't be able to continue doing it for very long unless you are earning a profit from your efforts.

If you are subsidizing your business with income from a job or other sources, can you really call it a business? Perhaps it's a hobby, instead?

So, what do you think works best? Building a website with Site Build It or blogging with WordPress?

Yes, Mitch, it's kind of a closed question, but it's one that I've really been thinking about a lot, lately. Plus, it was a good way to test building a TwitterStorm, even if it turns out to be a TwitterShower.

In reality, I think a business site needs both a static site and a blog. I've built hundreds of websites using my own code, CMS, Site Build It!, and other methods and I've finally decided that Site Build It! sites really do offer the best tools for getting the job done easily.

It's not just for people who don't know how to build a site.

While I posed the question as either/or, I think the majority of people who have experience with both SBI and WordPress will choose to use both. I don't know that, which is why I asked the question.

Thanks for commenting! I know you don't like to fill in captcha forms when leaving a comment.

Well, I think it's kind of a "closed" question because each has its purpose that's not quite the same. If you're talking about a blog, Wordpress, hands down. If you're talking about a website,... well, I just build my own, writing all my own code, so I don't have any program such as Site Build It that I can even say I've tried or know anything about, even though I do market the product here and there for those who don't know how to build their own sites.

P.S. You can start your own debate, too.
