- Monticlello
- Visit Thomas Jefferson's home! Be sure to look for Interactive Posters at the bottom of the page. That will teach you about daily life at Monticello.
What did you learn or see? - 72 Pencils
- Art -- sculpture -- with pencils. Very neat. Look through the pics to see how the artist made it.
- Lewis and Clark Expedition
- Lots to see here. Spend some time on this one.
- Jefferson Memorial
- For this one, I want you to sketch the Jefferson Memorial. (Make it nice so we can put it in your notebook.) It can be half page size.
Hint-- click on the picture to make it bigger. - A Chicken Grows Up
- This artist raised a chick and drew a sketch of it each day. Go back to previous entries to see it get smaller and smaller.
- Hue Test
- Remember the word HUE? It means tint of color. Try to arrange these in order. Can you beat my score?

- This one is about Sybil Ludington. Remember the girl who rode all through the night to warn the patriots to prepare for battle?
- Mount Vernon
- This is George Washington's home -- now a museum! Explore it by clicking on the parts of the farm listed on the left side (starts with stable, mule shed and paddock). Be sure to narrate something you learned!
Also on that site, try the jigsaw puzzle of George Washington's portrait. Try it once and then reset the pieces to a smaller size with the buttons above the portrait. How was it? - Northeast Woodland Indians
- This is a very neat site! Look at the pictures and read the text. You'll find quizzes too! Click on your answer and another window will pop up to tell you if it's wrong. :-( Keep going all the way through the cycle until you're done. At the very end is a quiz on all you learned. When your answers are right, you can print a certificate!
