These legendary warriors are presented in Star Wars: The Old Republic as the force which defends the bastions of The Galactic Republic. The terrorizing dark forces are represented by the Sith Empire warriors.

In the land battles with the Galactic Jedi Warriors THE inquisitor acquires two more progressions. The SWTOR Inquisitor class has two advanced class specializations: Assassin and Sorcerer.

Sith Sorcerer
There are two skill trees that Sith Sorcerers have:
1. Lightning - Channels the force to overload the Inquisitor's enemies with blasts of lightning.
2. Corruption - Uses dark power to maintain allies' health in battle, and protect them from enemy attacks.
Additionally, the Madness skill tree increases the Inquisitor's mastery of the Force to drain and corrupt his enemies, and is shared between both specializations.
Sith Assassin
Sith Assassin is the second specialization, and offers quite different gameplay than Sorcerer. The Assassin uses a dual lightsaber and is more focused on melee combat, burst damage and stealth.Besides Madness, a shared skill tree between both advanced classes, the Sith Assassin AC has the following skill trees:
1. Deception - Enhances the Assassin's stealth ability, helping him sneak up and dispatch his foes.
2. Darkness - Focuses on defensive techniques to help protect the Assassin and his allies.
